At the moment he's unsure which of the two scenarios are likely to come to pass. In other news, if Messi comes available on a free we aren't interested, because there's a chance he may play sh!t or get injured or both.

Messi is in a totally different ball park and has suffered from loss of form or suffered a career threatening injury in the last season has he Mick . To compare the two situations is pretty way out of the park isnt it really .

Its very unusual for Chelsea to let players go for free if they are an integral part of the team ?

i was going on holiday, but not sure. If i got and its hot the holiday will be good. But if it rains and is cold it will be rubbish. I'm undecided.  :D

What did you think when we signed Kewell .

You can laugh all you want but if we keep the players we have and everyone is fighting fit I honestly believe we can have a tilt at the title this season. New manager, new outlook, new mentality

Roll on the Arsenal game   :nod

One or two more signings and we have a really good squad of players

'Kay sorry mate :( .

It just seems odd to me that people were in raptures last season when we paid 20 million quid for an Italian bloke who nobody had heard of WHO WE KNEW WAS INJURED, whereas now we've got a proven International player on a free and all of a sudden we shouldn't get carried away  ??? .

Surely Cole is exactly the sort of player Liverpool fans would want us to sign? Will there be anybody who is secretly pleased if he fails his medical ???

he was a gamble for a cheap transfer fee. But you gamble with ANY player. Your bitterness is hilarious.

It's definitely a step in the right direction. Haven't had time to read the entire thread so it may have been said before. Surely the first person Joe Cole phoned when he was thinking of moving to Liverpool would have been Gerrard and that surely suggests that Stevie is staying at Liverpool.

Jole Cole is certainly the best free transfer Liverpool have managed to secure in many years and when you consider that Arsenal and Spurs failed to sign him and they have both qualified for the CL that certainly says something about Roy Hodgson's negotiating skills and what is going on behind the scenes at Anfield.

Best bit of news for a long time!

Because IMO there is nothing as yet to get carried away with - im holding judgement until we see the players kick a ball and see how results go cause then i will have something solid to form a judgement on .

I wasnt certainly in Raptures about Aquilani signing .

What are you on about  ???

I thought it was Purslow doing all the negotionating with Roy sending signals that the board arent letting him have any sort of control over transfers .... Didnt you know we sold Benny and Insua without his approval and are almost done with signing Remy despite the manager knowing nothing about the player or the deal... Obviously its the same with Cole  :lookaround
