Honestly I'm not sure - I'm sorry it's not a yes or no answer . It would be a definate yes if he can be the same player he was but i still have that nagging kewell doubt in my mind and players not being the same after such a serious knee injury .

If he recovers that form then we got a cracking player and I hope that is the case hence why I'm waiting to see before being extremely excited about him signing .

Off course its just my opinion and I hope we are still allowed to have one without fear on here

Thats my sons opinion and all, If he is recoverd from his injury fully then we have got a good player , but as he said lets see because ive never seen any player get back to the way they were before after that type of injury, as you know though hes a bitter , and secretly hes gutted ha ha

Time for Mr Brukner to work his magic now.

Even if he doesn't make 30 appearances this season due to injury and even if he doesn't hit the form of three seasons ago, it will always be the right decision to sign him up because the potential reward so heavily outweighs the risk - which is no Benayoun, less £4m (or whatever it is). We took risks on Voronin, Degen, David Ngog, and spent £10m on a Dutch rapper FFS all with virtually f'uck all reward, but it's this one we should be extra-cautious about?

You don't have to be over cautious - your can declare it the final jigsaw on the way to club domination of all competitions if you want . No one has to share my opinion

Every transfer deal is a risk but beleiving it will work and make things better is the fun part and what makes the pre season exciting for all football fans. You have to enjoy the good moments and this is a good one surely. Not long ago you would have been laughed at for suggesting Cole would join Liverpool on here but he is here today, well almost! I will pose one question though, does anyone think this deal could have been manufactured by the previous regime? I fear one mention of the word 'rotation' and Cole would have signed for Spurs personally.Maybe I am wrong though.

 NO i didnt mean it that way , ha ha , he was just saying if he has fully recoverd from his injury then we have got a good player , but he cant understand why Chelsea let him go so easily if he was fully over it, he said he has seen to many players get that sort of injury and have never been the same player after, i also asked him would he have him there and he said yes so bit of a jealous streak there and all , but i do understand what you have been saying and i do understand your resevations to wait and see how he goes . nothing wrong in that imo. I do like him though always have done , and im made up hes here ,

Thank you nan - it's good to see someone is happy to realise that some people will have some reservations about the signing and can understand the reservations without throwing insults about
