"I like good professionals, not what some people call 'star' players. My idea of a star player may be different to others. When I tell Steven Gerrard I need him to play on the right, and he does this to the best of his ability, that defines him as a star player in my eyes.

"I don't like players who only play for themselves.

They are selfish. It's those who understand the needs of the team who are the best".

Taken from: IC Liverpool

Rafa also said Cisse was a big star at Auxurre its a small club, he's at a big club now and he never had to defend before or work for the team.
The thing is though had he not got that injury would it have been possible for Raffa to change the way Cisse plays and change his mentality, the injury hasnt helped cause he never goes into a tackle, which is Physiological no doubt.

Its not to late for him to change and his whole game play would benefit from it.
But I dont think Rafa will spend time converting him TBH.

Utter garbage.

You don't become brave. Players either have bottle or they don't. Sissy's a shitbag and thats that.

A wimp, a coward and a waster with very average footballing ability.

Its time for sissy to pack his bags, he hasn’t the physical or mental abilities to play at the highest level, my suggestion is that he drops down to a side like Tottenham or Middlesbrough were scoring a half decent amount of goals will keep him in the team.

I wouldnt sell him for anything less than 9 million.

but to be honest he is not the best player in the world, we need some one with a better attitude and with a more solid goal scoring skill. But I wouldn't sell him unless we had a better striker lined up.

I must admit I am looking forward to the transfer window especially if we win the wotld club championship (£6mill+merchandize+TV, money to be made out of it)

He'll be off, his facial expression said it all.

RB-
"I have yet to come across any player who has it written into his contract that he must play every week," said Benitez. "But in my contract it says I will be the only person who decides who plays.

Cisse won't be here around too long.

i'd play him every minute of the world team championship, hope he scores a bunch of goals in meaningless games then get the most for him -- its a good showcase -- why have a cancer on the bench

There'e no way Cisse will go if we dont have a replacement.

Rafa may have someone lined up, let's wait and see

I don't think it would be good to loan him out (as Marseille have been linked), if someone wants him they can cough up £8+ imo, the only reason I can see us loaning him out is if Rafa has another striker lined up ???

Cisse is a clown whose constant nicompoopery is going to cause unrest.

Cisse has always been a gamble. He is what i would call a streaky player, capable of the odd flash of brilliance but unpredictable and frustrating the rest of the time.

We should cash in now, but i see no one out there to sign as a replacement at the moment.

why is everyone so desperate to sell Cisse?  ???

ok, he's not giving good vibes of being a team player, but when he does play, he scores goals.  IF we get offered 10+ million he goes.......if we don't he stays.
