totally right. Cisse is most definately short of expectations, however, as far as i remember, he has the best scoring record of the season, despite the fact his all-round game leaves a lot to be desired.

exactly, so until he either stops scoring or refuses to play in tha squad system, i can't see him going anywhere....unless we get offered our money back.  If that happens, great.......if not, i'm not worried because he's still a handy player to have.  Either way, we win!

Hello mates. Here in Marseilles there are continuing rumours according to which Cisse leaving Liverpool FC for Olympique de Marseille is only a matter of days...If that proves true, sorry for you, good news for us...Do you have any recent information about such a possibility?

??? Matter of days? The transfer window doesnt open till January, and we payed 14 million pound for him we are not going to loan him out if you want him your club will have to pay big bucks.
But Rafa has said he wont be leaving in January we have loads of games, he is cuptied and considering what happened last season with all the injuries we had, there is no way Rafa will let Cisse leave.
Unless ofcourse Cisse has asked for a transfer.

Thanks for your answer CGGY. Of course I was a bit overoptimistic   when talking about a matter of days. "A matter of three weeks" would have been more appropriate. What you're saying about Rafa's decisions about Cisse seems to slam the door shut to the idea of a transfer or a loan, but things can change so easily and so quickly in the wonderful world of soccer-business....

Even if he did ask for a transfer, I don' think Rafa will let him go just yet as we are short of cover with a long season...unless he can find a buyer who will fork out silly money, like the ludicrous amount Houllier paid for him. Ludicrous because what he turned out to be.

He'd be good for Marseille because he will play in a less physically intimidating league and they'd not be expecting him to do much tracking back and defending.

It is quite sad to see that you favourite club's record signing is just a squad rotation player because he is not working hard enough to fit into the general plan or can't come to grips with the manager's idea of collective playing and shows petulance when he is subbed. His game is either good or bad and anonymous with nothing in between. He does not like to track back and easily gets angry at team mates when he does not receive balls that he wants, but then on more occassions, waste the team's build-up play so cheaply. Luis Garcia also loses possession but he tracks back and does make some interceptions or successful tackles.

In the end, the club will lose a lot of money because the record signing will have lost his market value due to his poor spell at the club and will become a record loss when transterred....

I understand your point of view. But why go on with such a silly situation? What's the point in forcing a player to stay in a club where he obvioulsly doesn't want to stay any longer? In such a context everyone is bound to be constantly disappointed or frustrated : Cisse, Rafa, you fans...
IMO it's time for everyone to put an end to this waste of time, money, talent : let him go to Marseille under reasonable conditions.

TBH Azriah, Cisse is not worth, never was worth, and never will be worth £14 million. We payed far too much for a player who, depsite his pace and power, has a very average all round game.

Lets' take some examples:

- Spurs paid £7mn for Defoe
- Fenerbahce payed £7mn for Anelka
- Spurs payed £7mn for Keane

All these fellas are better than Cisse, and we paid double that price. Christ, Adriano, one of the best strikers in the world only cost Inter £15mn from Parma.

It doesn't take a genius to work out that we paid way over the odds for him, and it looks like we will make a large net loss on him. Very poor bit of business.

The Mirror this morning reckon Cisse is off to Spurs for 7-8 million if they cant sign Kuijt in January, but its only the mirror.

They don't need him. They already have Keane, Defoe and Mido. Perhaps Cisse in a swap deal for Keane or Defoe? I'd take that.

I agree LFC. What we paid has nothing to do with how much he was worth. Houllier was acting like souness in his final year. He only bought a big name player because he wanted a bit of attention and tried to rescue his manageriel career.

We paid £ 14 million for a £ 5 million striker. And now he is on an expensive contract making it really difficult for LFC to sell him to other clubs. I think £ 3 to £ 4 millions is the absolute maximum we can get for him. But for that amount plus the £ 7 million we got for Baros we will be able to sign a good replacement.

Id like to see Kuyt at the club but until someone is sold this is all just speculation. Im sure closer to the transfer window something wil materialise especially the week we get back from Japan the transfers should begin to materialise.

I just don't think he can play football. I read about an investigation being made into the transfer and I am not surprised, not even GH can be that stupid.

Where are all the people who raved about him before he came, come on - put your hands up. I remember clips of goals being sent around and he would be amazing!!!

P1sses me off, we paid £30m for our 3 forwards and I'd be surprised if we got half that now if we tried to sell them.

Crouch has a great attitude and good touch but I can't see any goalscorer in the team. Cisses goals are not in premiership (pub welsh teams in qualifiers)

Owen did Fukk us around but he wouldn't do it again as he's learn his lesson. Swap Morientes and Cisse for him.
