With ground redevelopment rumoured to be close you cannot see that changing
much with money likely to be even tighter, so unless the owners are prepared
to dig deep into their own pockets he will have to get used to working on what
are relatively small budgets historically for Liverpool.
At this point we are fielding a side made up of an even split of youth team and
first team players which would be a tough ask for any club in the Premiership,
even the elite squads.

if we manage to beat everton, newcastle and chelsea we`d be right back in the mix, if we lose or draw all those games we`ll be back we started.
although we played well against city and united you cant go through a season losing and drawing against the top sides and expect to be in the shake up for a top 4 place at the end of the season.
at some point you have got to start taking points off the teams above you, you cant expect other teams to do it for you.
so far we`ve lost to arsenal and drawn against city and united, thats 2 points out of a possible 9 against other top sides. thats just not good enough.
this is a critical point in the season, we are 3 points behind arsenal and possibly 8 (if everton beat QPR today) behind everton in 4th, we just cant afford to get another paltry points return out of our next 3 games.
last season we beat everton away, newcastle at home and chelsea away, we did it last season so we can do it again this season.
if we do it top 4 is a real possibility.

Top 4 is not a realistic target or aim or expectation this season - our rivals aren't Arsenal, Chelsea, Mancs City and United. Out rivals are Everton, Newcastle and Spurs.
Think you forget how far we have fallen and how far behind we were last and what position we finished in

We are miles behind the top teams. Do people not realise where we finished last season !! 8th just to remind people - 8th and we have just struggled to beat a Reading side in the bottom two !!
We don't have any other gears. Suarez doesn't score we struggle. We are a one man team and that one man is inconsistent.

We've got a new manager with a different style of play, we got rid of a lot of experienced players and replaced them with new younger players and youth players with potential. For whatever reason we also messed up the transfer window which left us rediculously short of attacking players.
The team have played fairly well so far, getting to grips with the new style of play but with a lack of options and goal threat, we're a bit like a car running on 3 cylinders.
If we continue to improve and add the right reinforcements in January, we should hopefully be able to fire on all cyclinders and move up the gears as our friend with the unpronounceable name mentioned earlier. I think we have more potential and room for improvement than most of the other teams but a top 4 finish will still be a big ask, I'd be happy with 5th or 6th.
