we drew with stoke at home in the league last season 0-0 and lost 1-0 away (we battered them but they got a controversial pen when walters tangled with carragher, the pen was the only shot on goal they had all game)
we beat them 2-1 away in the league cup and we also beat them 2-1 at anfield in the F.A cup.
the 0-0 at anfield in the league was during suarez`s ban, kenny played with kuyt as the lone striker and 3 at the back.

I stand corrected, but they are still not an easy team to beat, that's my point. We should have won today, but how many times have we played a match over the last three years where we have been beaten (undeservedly)? At least we have a point on the board today, something we didn't have when we played Manchester United a few weeks ago.

you must be a manc, any self respecting bluenose would know that we didnt win the double in 89.
evertonians are obsessed with liverpool, they know more about liverpool than they do about everton.
when i`m not quite sure about something from our past (like who scored the first goal when we beat leicester 3-1 in the F.A cup semi final in 74) then i get on the phone to my bluenose cousin, straight away he said brian hall.
if you want to know anything about liverpool ask an evertonian.
you dont know enough to be an evertonian, so your a manc.

we`ve had a problem beating those types of teams for over 20 years, our inability to beat the likes of stoke probably cost us the title in 08/09, we comfortably beat the likes of united and chelsea home and away in the league but only managed 2 draws against stoke.
brendan rodgers isnt going to sort it out in five minutes.

I've been throughly impressed with pretty much everything about Rogers so far, except maybe his handling of Andy Carroll. Other than that I fully believe he's the right man for the job, and until he does something that makes me believe otherwise I'll continue to support him regardless of the results.  Not sure why people are on his case already.

I am not sure about BR as our manager. I have postives and negatives to say about this bloke.

On the bright side, our ball possession, passing, attacking play have improved compare to last season and on those per se, we're probably the best in the PL.
On the negative, like last season, we struggle with scoring. And like last season, I don't agree with the opinion that many fans have been saying that he needs time. Every time when the club has a new manager, the players need time to play his game. During the  first seasons of R.Evans, Houllier and Rafa, we were never at any stage lingering down in the bottom half of the table. Don't you think the players they had at their disposal also needed time? So why under BR's first season, we're battling to avoid the drop? This tells me that BR is not up to the standards of those 3 past managers who were all fired despite finishing in top 4 during most of their tenure.

I am not putting all of the blame on BR, our future under this FSG ownership is not going to be bright either. They stubbornly refuse to invest heavily in the summer and unless they back BR with the needed funds to invest in a quality, proven scorer in January (if we can get one who wants to come),  we'll be fighting for 4th place from bottom come May.

since when was the last time we dominate possession more than 60% ?
we been doing that for the majority of the games now. which is a good thing to see.
just need a few adjustment here n there and the team will be clicking soon.

We did it last season a lot as well - we also created a lot more chances
