not sure mate - his name has been menti9oned all summer - should of saved 10 mil on not buying keane and getting someone like pavluychenko and then spent the 10 mil saved on getting some like silva.

I dont know why people are so negative. On saturday our crossing/corners were nothing short of sh!te. If he can put in decent crosses from the left and maybe even weigh in with one or two goals every now and again then good luck to him.

he's not the answer but he's a better fit than anything we have got. he'll give us genuine width and will allow babel and benayoun to be used where they are more effective - thus improving the shape and balance of the team as a whole.

i wish people would stop carping and moaning and slagging the guy before he's even kicked a ball for us. this has to be the most miserable lfc forum in existence. god help the guy if he doesn't turn in man of the match performances in his first 5 games.

I like keane - always have done - as i have stated thou think he is a luxury we couldnt afford due to our left side being our main priority.

Oh and at the beginning of the summer when silva was available he stated he would like to play in the prem one day but no one came in for him when we should of done months ago .

Seen him both in La Liga last season and for City the season before that and the guy is no better than pennant or speedy but without the pace , yeah he can give us width by standing out there but quality balls into the box and goals and very short supply from hiim . would prefer downing every day of the week over him .

and as for kuyt he showed his worth to the team end of last season when he ended up just behind gerrard in assists and behind gerrard and torres in goals - and season before when he was top goalscorer in prem for us - add to the fact that both torres and gerrard have already stated how important he is for the team and it was down to a lot of kuyts work that torres was able to score a fair number of his goals. dont think you can get a bigger endorsement than that about kuyt.
