Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

If he'd chipped in with assists it might have helped, but he was just pleasing on the eye to some who are easily pleased.

No doubt he'll be a star in Greece, the only way he'd be a star here is if he appeared in Grease

Dear Liverpool supporters,

I would like to say goodbye and thank you for the opportunity to play in this fantastic club. I would like to thank the fans for their support; you're unbelievable.  I would also like to thank the staff and my team mates.

I would like to wish the club all the best for the new season, I can see there's a lot of changes taking place and its like a breath of fresh air into the club.  I think the club will have a very positive future.

I want the fans to remember me as a player who tried to give his best.  My first year here was one of the best seasons and the closest the club have come to winning the Premier League.

Last season was a season for everyone to forget in all ways, which can happen to any club.  In football it's important to look forward and forget the past.

I felt it was time for a change and I'm looking forward now to the new challenges which lie ahead.

Best wishes
Albert Riera

he was a kunt before he left mate after publicly slating the manager remember?  ???

also I find his comments a bit offensive after some of the things he said when he left about winning nothing for two years and going to a club with the prospect of winning trophies (or something to that effect)
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Biaatch-slappin' a youngster (as he supposedly did) is reason enough to call him a ku.nt in my book.

Those Greeks would make a star out of Dudek mate.

I must admit I like their passion, but they're way exagerated.

You could just have pointed out that it isn't true. Hamann, Sami, Arbeloa, Alonso, Finnan,  etc etc etc etc etc have all left without making them "Cun*s"

It's how they conduct themselves before, during and after their departure and how they were at the club. Riera was a Cun* before he arrived, while he was here and has proved it now he's on his way out/gone. Maybe just took a while to establish it.
