I think getting more than a point last night would have been VERY optimistic, certainly we've picked up a few points where we might have dropped some but equally some of the games we should have won we've dropped points in too.
Next 10 league games (and last season's corresponding results)
Aston Villa (a) D0-0 09/10 W1-0
Tottenham (h) W3-1 09/10 W2-0

Bolton (h) W3-0 09/10 W2-0
Everton (h) D1-1 09/10 W1-0
Arsenal (a) D1-1 09/10 L0-1
Man City (a) W3-2
Blackburn (h) W4-0
Wigan (a) D1-1
08/09 P9 W4 D5 L0 F16 A6 PTS 17 (out of 27)
09/10 P7 W4 D2 L1 F7 A2 PTS 14 (out of 21)
Inevitable really, we're still stuck in a rut of not scoring more than one goal often enough. Even in a run of seven unbeaten we only netted nine goals and two was the most in any one game (three times). Nice even split now for my much quoted comparison :
0-1 goals : P13 W2 D3 L8 F7 A17 PTS 9
2+ goals : P13 W11 D2 L0 F36 A10 PTS 35
When is Rafa going to learn? We scored more freely at the end of last season and won 10 out of 11, we now struggle to score and yet he consistently plays two DMs a CB at RB and even against weaker sides is reluctant to put out more attacking players.
Did you know that in said aforementioned 11 game run including 10 wins on the tail end of last season that we only scored one goal ONCE? We scored 34 goals, there were some pretty winnable games in there BUT we also scored four past the mancs AT THEIR'S and four against the goners who we've put only two past in three games this season.
Tough going ahead, 23 points is now the maximum and the game against Citeh will be crucial.
