Points prediction - For next 6 league games

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby jacdaniel » Tue Sep 14, 2010 11:25 am

I thought id create a new topic to see how people think we'll do over the next 6 games in the premierleague.  So here is the fixtures and my predictions:

1)    19/09  Man United (A)   Draw
2)    25/09  Sunderland (H)   Win
3)    03/10  Blackpool    (H)   Win
4)    17/10  Everton      (A)   Draw
5)    24/10  Blackburn    (H)   Win
6)    31/10  Bolton         (A)   Win

A win against the Mancs would be a huge result but realistically i think a draw is the most id expect.  Anything more would be a bonus.  Then into 2 home games against Sunderland and Blackpool.  If we want to finish 4th these are the kinda games we need to be winning and i think we will.  Everton away will be tricky... its always hard to predict a derby so ill stay on the fence and say draw.  Blackburn at home could be tough but i reckon we'll win it.  Bolton away could also be tough but again... i think we'll win it.  That would give us 14 of the next 18 points.

Realistically, this is the kinda return we need from games like these.

13 points. we'll lose against united unfortunately (especially if gerrard plays centre mid) and we'll draw the derby game.

1) Man United (a) lose - It's an away match against the second most sucsessful team in the prem and we are a little messd up, maybu at the home game we'll be able to hope on some points

2) Sunderland (h) win - Just stop Bent from doing anything and we'll be fine.

3) Blackpool (h) win - But deffenetly they shouldnt be underestimated

4) Everton (a) draw - no comment, I just think we'll draw

5) Blackburn (h) win - If we do win however it will be verry close

6) Bolton (a) draw - again no comment

if we improve and players play to their ability

1)    19/09  Man United (A)  Lose
2)    25/09  Sunderland (H)   Win
3)    03/10  Blackpool    (H)   Win
4)    17/10  Everton      (A)  Win
5)    24/10  Blackburn    (H)   Win
6)    31/10  Bolton         (A)   Win

If we dont improve and play the same way we are now then

1)    19/09  Man United (A)   Lose
2)    25/09  Sunderland (H)   Draw
3)    03/10  Blackpool    (H)   Win
4)    17/10  Everton      (A)   Lose
5)    24/10  Blackburn    (H)   Draw
6)    31/10  Bolton         (A)   Draw

So either 15 points or 6 points

I can't see past 9 points tbh and im even having concerns about Blackpool and Blackburn if we don't start right. It will be Birimgham all over again.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if we beat the Mancs or even get a point, but I think we'll win at Home against sunderland. Just as well, becasue by then the numpties on the internet forums who "don't want him sacked" will have whipped the media up into a frenzy making it practically a "must win". Incredible I know after 5 league matches, but that's our fans undfortunately.

I then think we'll beat Blackpool and draw at Everton (which will probably see the daggers out again) before beating Blackburn and drawing at Bolton, (more "I don't fecking believe this"). That makes 11 points and would put us on sixteen after 10 matches if we don't get anything at Old Trafford. probably top six or seven, and starting to get something going.

I think the Utd game will be the low point and then we'll improve from there as Torres gets match fit and the likes of Cole and Meireles begin to gel.

Come November we'll be hovering just outside the top 4  :nod

What's unsensible about the post  ???  ??? are you seriously suggesting that after the way you and some others reacted to a draw at Birmingham you aren't going to lose it completely if we don't get anything at Old Trafford? God forbid we get beat 3-0 or something, you and your cohorts will have a field day.

You'll notice though that I'm not predicting we'll win all six, and there isn't buttrock in sight. I'm actually predicting 11 points from the six matches, and that by the end of that period we just might be starting to get something going. You see people can be and are being sensible, I simply don't have any faith that you and others will follow suit. Prove me wrong by all means by not lamenting our lack of shots if we come away with a 0-0 draw.

Yes i keep forgetting its only your little group that is being sensible and anyone else is as you say "Internet Numpties " . How do you ever manage to breathe with your head permanently so far up your own backside .

ah the next six games, vital period no?
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
