I could equally ask how well your ignorance, insulting remarks and general rudeness go down at dinner parties?

Statistics have their place, on forums etc, so too it seems do ignoramuses

Miiiaaaooowwwww....
Touchy today, aren't we ?

Statistics are great alright....at a dinner party for socially dysfunctional anoraks who discuss mathematical equations, theorems and other such thoroughly uninteresting trivia....

My dinner parties, on the other hand are about the fayre, the conversation (general, topical and typically intellectual) and also the company....

So I leave you with a challenge : is the plural of ignoramus as you state "ignoramuses" or "ignorami" ?

I'd still rather invite Bunglemark to one of my candle lit soirées  than you Stato :D

Can't resist, as much as I appreciate Stato's stats he does tend to drone on a bit and for some curious reason has started to have a pop at me, so I just followed the old adage the enemy of my enemy is my friend  :D

Next 10 league games (07/08 results, 08/09 results in red)

Portsmouth (a) D0-0 : 08/09 W3-2
Man City (h) W1-0 : 08/09 D1-1
Middlesboro (a) D1-1 : 08/09 L0-2
Sunderland (h) W3-0 : 08/09 W2-0
Man Utd (a) L0-3 : 08/09 W4-1
ASTON VILLA (h) D2-2 : 08/09 W5-0
Fulham (a) W2-0 : 08/09 W1-0
Blackburn (h) W3-1 08/09 W4-0
Hull (a) n/a
Newcastle (h) W3-0 08/09 W3-0

07/08 : P9 W5 D3 L1 F15 A7 PTS 18 (out of 27)
08/09 : P9 W7 D1 L1 F23 A6 PTS 22 (out of 27)

So 25 points and 23 people right, although the Arsenal game dropped into the last 10 games when it hadn't been included originally the 25 points includes the games listed originally. That's about a third right in guessing/predicting 23-25 points out of 30 (out of 68 voted to date, although doubtless some idiots will continue to vote after the event - it happens!) If only the optimists had been right, we'd be two points ahead. Maybe the boro result sums up why we're not quite there yet, we lose away to a team neck deep in relegation trouble while the mancs win 2-0 against them.
