I think you will actually find that it is their club and if FSG's behaviour over the Suarez debacle hasn't convinced you of their commitment then I don't know what will.
Let me explain something to you sunshine, Henry and co are custodians of our club, nothing more, nothing less. Just like Hicks and Gillette before them.
Whether our club is sold to a yank in a business suit that knows nothing about the game, or a rich sheik or rusky tycoon our CLUB will never belong to one individual.
The club has always and will always be owned by the fans, don't be fooled by anyone or anything that tells you otherwise.
As for them talking tough on Suarez, let's see them back that up with bringing in quality players or a future stadium before we start hollering out like a shonky Evangelist preacher how faultless they are.
No need for the patronising "sunshine" shit. We are (well most of us) all grown ups. I was making a factually statement and wether we like it or not FSG own us and are slightly more than custodians. I love your passion and desire but it isn't going to take five minutes to sort out the mess created by H & G followed by Comolli and Kenny. Let's not forget Rafa's last twelve months which didn't actually help either.I just get totally fed up with fans giving FSG down the banks and questioning their worthiness. What exactly was the some that FSG allowed Comolli and Kenny to spend?

how clueless does a person have to be? you have ZERO idea on anything Liverpool FC related.
are you benny under a new name? you post just like him.
Cowboy owners? These are the guys who now have our accounts in a decent state rather than carrying the debt of a small country. These are the guys that allowed Comolli and Kenny to spend a small fortune. These are the guys that have just told Arsenal to shove their £40m....
Give it a fkg rest.........
On the stadium issue, the last word from the club was they were finalising compulsory purchase orders. Now anyone who has worked with council bureaucracy before will know the timescales of decision making, they ain't fast. Combined with the legal aspect of homeowners refusing to sell, you can see how the problem becomes long and drawn out.devaney » Wed Aug 14, 2013 11:31 am wrote:Eds - Calm down !! Calm down !!
So let's give FSG credit for absolutely fk all. You seem to conveniently ignore the fact that they could have simply kept a very substantial amount of the money that they allowed Comolli and Kenny to spend, actually it's a bit of a pity they didn't !! Well certainly £55m of it anyway that was squandered on Carroll and Downing who were bought to move the club forward. That didn't quite work did it.
And if your giving them no credit for the way they have handled Luis then it is pointless debating this any further. Again you miss the point that if they are as bad as you make out they could have sold Luis to Arsenal and kept most of the £40m.
Is it really such a bad thing for a businessman to buy a football club with the shocking thought that he could make a profit in the future?
I sure FSG did not make any promises regarding the ground. After Gillette's "spade in the ground" gaff they have been very careful not to commit themselves with regard to the ground.
Just trying to keep the glass half full mate. I accept that it is not a bed of roses but I also accept that FSG have never claimed to be a registered charity.

These set of Americans are the champions of mediocrity - they don't have a clue about the game of football and what it means. The worst thing is we now have fans accepting the mediocrity.

We do have fans like you who believe in fantasy and accept the mediocre actions we currently see within the club. When we get nowhere near the CL once again the maybe reality will dawn.
No doubt the Dortmund model ( again never worked in this league ) will be the fantasy dream some try and grab onto.

Oh i'm very sure. The vast majority of us supporters are optimistic about this season. I challenge you to prove me wrong.
Of course we want more than what has been achieved, that isn't accepting mediocrity it is understanding the problems the clubs faces and being realistic at the rate of progression we can achieve. You continually complain about so many aspects of the club, you continually promote an agenda against the manager, you continually post negativity.

What would you consider NOT Mediocre actions? Splashing mad money which the owner don't have? It's called reality ,we have financial sound owners which got burnt on reckless signings and are demonstrating caution yet willing to pull the trigger if BR finds his target.
All good.
