Can we all take a deep breath, log off the forum, have a nice tall glass of Orange Fanta and stop acting like bum cheeks. Those who hope Rodgers fails, hope we as a club fail and they are no supporters of this football club.

I remember when Belfast Barry used to get on the Fanta, he went from being a bum cheek to a right funny @rsehole.  :D

Borini is ordinary but who the hell can we actually convince to come here without
loosening the purse strings on wages.

We can talk until the cows come home about shithot players who would improve
the team but unless you start the bidding at £100k a week wages they wont even
pick up the phone let alone pull on a Liverpool shirt.

Suarez was probably the last serious player we could actually convince to come here
at a time when FSG had a genuine interest in pumping money in to build a team but
since then their bottles gone completely after a catalogue of disasters in the market.

Total nonsense ,we shouldn't be looking for those megastars to come to Anfield ,we should be looking for new prospects which are out their in the dozens and pick them up ,for that to happen you need to have a great scouting personal ,that has been our biggest failure in past years ,the inability to bring return on investment with our signings. Ridicules signings as Keane ,Aquilany ,Henderson ,Carrol ,Borini and many others makes you wonder how professionally those people are.

Fecking Chelsea spend a billion squid and they are going to meet FFP. These owners bloody well fork out some serious wonga in the next 2 transfer windows... otherwise I can see some fans starting to grumble. Feel sorry for Rogers. Here he is trying to breathe life into our style of football and yet the owners expect him to essentially turn things around with minimal funds.

i`ve started getting a bit of renewed hope, i watched a clip of rodgers pre chelsea game press conference on sky sports news last night and the reporters started quizzing him on the possibility of torres returning to anfield in january, rodgers didnt answer them, he just laughed and went all coy.
it was the same face that he pulled when someone asked him if we were interested in walcott/sturridge last summer and by all accounts we were.
now i know torres isnt the same player he once was and i know he signed for chelsea but i for one would have him back, i`d rather have torres back than sign the likes of ba, sturridge and hooper.
according to the normally reliable echo huntelaar isnt coming here either so torres looks a decent option at the moment.
imagine if torres was just suffering from a confidence crisis and he hit form again? with an inform torres and suarez the sky would be the limit.
how about this for a team.....

                                                                     reina

                          johnson                     skrtel              agger                enrique

                                                        lucas                allen/sahin

                                                              gerrard/suso

                               sterling/walcott              torres            suarez

if those players hit any type of form thats potentially a title winning side imo, and although i dont think rodgers has worked out how to break teams down with this philosophy of his i think the likes of torres, suarez, walcott, sterling etc would find a way.
torres is very good in the air (some of his best goals for us were headers like the one at old trafford or the one against blackburn where he outjumped chris samba) so we could afford to throw crosses into the area even if defences are back and set.
all this talk of signing the likes of hooper, ba and sturridge got me down a bit but this has given me a bit of hope, i`ve probably been a bit over critical of rodgers (but he has made f**k ups) and i should wait to see who we bring in in january before criticising anymore.
in the press conference he mentioned trying to get deals done in the first week that it opens so he obviously knows himself that we desperately need strengthening.

Whether it's Torres or Walcott mate they need to get some quality players in during the transfer window.

scratch that optimism of mine  :p , i`ve just read that article parchpea posted in the owners thread

wether that investment firm of john henry`s actually affects us or not i`m not sure but their baseball team lying bottom of the league is a concern, that probably means they are going to have to spend money on the red sox.
have they got the money to invest heavily in our squad, the red sox`s squad and redevelop the stadium too?

I NEVER said I hope BR fails I actually said I will proven right by which I mean that he will not cut it as LFC manager. And those people with a little bit of nous know he won't. All this pretty football is all well and good WHEN you have the players, which we do not have. To send out Carroll on loan without replacing him is football suicide. Don't blame FSG on this RODGERS IS THE MANAGER and its not going to work if you don't like my opinion TOUGH its my opinion. I really really hope I am wrong and if so I will come here and apologise.

I think the owners will back Rodgers in January ,if only in an attempt to claw back the credibility they lost in the last transfer window . I suspect Rodgers
would have demanded some serious reassurances after a summer that simply exposed the owners naivety ....
