It's got f*ck all to do with Lucas, and everything to do with our home form this season. As I've said a dozen times before, it's our away mentallity that's crippling us this season. When we start putting in this kind of performance on occasion away from home, that's when you know the corner has been turned.

Our home record IS pretty good mate, but our home performances have been pretty poor ....... this is as good as we have played all season . Gerrard in midfield with players to aim for and some great interpassing and actual MOVEMENT.

I am not blaming Lucas, but if you can't see the difference today you may need to visit the opticians mate    :D

True, S@int, but my argument is not for performances as we were poor home and away, but grinding out results at home regardless. I'm also in agreement that Lucas and Mascherano should not be on the same teamsheet unless it's at a tough away venue, then it can be excused. But to lump all the blame on Lucas for our shoddy form this season is stretching it too far and incredibly harsh, especially when he's been better than Gerrard et'al for a lot of those poor performances.

Nobody should be lumping all the blame on him ... but fook it angers me senseless when i realise wot we miss with him taking a team spot !

One thing worries me about Fernando...

He seems to prefer running with the ball, beat defenders by himself and score very hard goals... but when it comes to chances put on a platter for him, he seems to miss them...

Who is this guy that looks like Ryan Babel looking like he's up to it?
s@int - 13 December 2009

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

It's amazing what can happen when you give a player a chance.

One of my internal sources told me that Rafa has banned Babel from rapping... hence now, he no longer needs to record 20 times for a verse and therefore has enough sleep...

There is no hole. It's a flat 4-4-2. We just look so balanced with this formation. Hope Rafa's just not expirimenting with it and decides to used it more often.

hey i did not start the Rafa talk on this thread.

Well to be fair, he's had a big ask of him this season, and all his weakness' have been exposed due to the extra attention of the boots he's had to fill. Those boots being Xabi's. But not only just that, he's had to step up to the plate and fill the gaps left by our injuries earlier in the season, plus Aquilani hadn't even kicked a ball yet due to him being crocked, which our manager has to take the responsiblity for. Lucas is a decent squad player IMO. Nothing more than that yet.

Point is .. why is this the first time he's sitting down ?
This is Liverpool ... "decent squad players" (questionable) don't fit

defense needs to wake up here for us, haven't had much to do most of the game but sunderland look to be pushing here with 3 strikers.
We need a 3rd to finish this
