I hope so. Would be best for both parts I reckon. Not a bad player, just not that great either unfortunately.

If he does go for £9m or so, I am very sceptical that Rafa will get all the money to strengthen the team. If he only gets a few mill then what sort of player will we get with that, better off keeping Babel. If he gets a run in the team his value may go up for the summer transfer window.

But he won't get a run in the team.... Rafa has given up on him due to his stinking attitude.  Ive never rated him and cant wait for him to go, I just hope we get some of the 11 million we bought him for and Rafa is allowed to re-invest it, preferably on a striker
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Lot of rumours circulating today in the Milan press that a loan swap for Babel & Huntellar until the end of the season.

Reports say unconfirmed at this stage but would be ideal in my eyes as a few could games for them and could consider a straight swap maybe + a few million £ in the summer if things work out for both of them!!!!

Or would we prefer £9 - 11m for him now?

Think i'd actually prefer the swap, we get a class stricker and if Babel realises (a big if but) his potential in Italy & then shines at the WC then we could actually turn a profit on him!!!

Oh and feel free to move this post to rumours but thought it better in here a speculation seems to be ever increasing over there.

We have offered a swap deal for Huntelaar with Ry babs goin the other way.

Basically says Us & Arsenal have asked for his services, Liverpool where intouch on tuesday evening with both clubs short of strike options, Spurs have also enquired about him, he has told his agent to find him a new club and wants to join one from the 4 top competitions.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

That swap would be a good idea imo. We would basically get Huntelaar for free for half a season, and if he was any good we could maybe buy him permanently for the money Babel would generate (whether he would go to Milan permanently or be sold to another club in the summer). If not, we could just ship him back and still sell Babel come summer and then buy a striker there (or maybe get Chamakh on a free as rumoured?).
