that's football  overpaid whining bitches!

They should go back to the old days when players got paid 5 pounds a week to play & the transfer record was 1000 pounds for the Kaka of the day. :D

The Mirror reports that Birmingham City are preparing a third bid for Ryan Babel, just as Tottenham Hotspur lock their sights on the unsettled Liverpool forward.

The St Andrew's outfit have already had two offers knocked back, the second of which was said to be in the vicinity of £10 million.

Babel's reluctance to hold talks with the Blues allegedly stems from a fear that he will end up playing out of position on the left flank - a fate he has had to endure almost the entirety of his Anfield career.

However, it is believed that Birmingham's latest bid promises not only bigger wages, but also that the Dutchman will get first-team football in his preferred role as a central striker.

This may provide a perfect escape for Babel as he looks to boost his claim for a place in the Netherlands' World Cup squad - and to put a safe distance between he and Reds boss Rafael Benitez, after their alleged falling out.

Spurs are also willing to give the 23-year-old a new home, according to fresh reports, as Harry Redknapp looks to replace Roman Pavlyuchenko with an entirely different style of forward.

But it is understood that the former Ajax man - who has also been linked with Besiktas, Galatasaray, Olympique Marseille and Sunderland - has no desire to become the fourth prong in Tottenham's star-studded attack.

In all fairness though nan, if he is constantly overlooked and can only look forward to the odd sub appearance, why not spend his time doing other things? For me, he is a wasted talent. And he does have talent, I dont think it will be a surprise to see him leave the club, and it wont surprise me to see the quotes "why didnt he play that well for us?" when he does leave.

He has power and pace and nothing else, he will score the odd screamer for ya but more often than not run head long into the nearest oppo player.
Could be a good player if he could get his head out his ar$e for a team outside the top four but for a team in it far too wasteful.
Bet rafa is trying to sort out a decent swap because he wouldnt see much if any of a transfer fee.

LIVERPOOL have been told they must splash out at least £10million to sign Kenwyne Jones – as Galatasaray prepared to end Ryan Babel’s increasingly controversial Anfield career.

Rafael Benitez has targeted Sunderland striker Jones as he looks to bolster a forward line further weakened by the absence through injury of Fernando Torres.

While an attempt last week to broker a swap deal between Jones and Babel floundered, talks have remained ongoing between Liverpool officials and their Wearside counterparts.

The Anfield outfit were confident they could snap up the Trinidad and Tobago international Jones on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent switch. But Sunderland have decided that any temporary move would not be in their best interests, and slapped a £10m price tag on the 25-year-old.

Sunderland yesterday distanced themselves from claims that Jones, signed by the Black Cats from Southampton for £6million in 2007, was due on Merseyside to undergo a medical.

But, tellingly, chairman Niall Quinn stopped short of giving a cast-iron assurance the striker would leave this month.

“Kenwyne Jones knows exactly what I think of him,” said Quinn. “I love him as a footballer. He’s got the complete package and if things work out for him in the second half of the season, he’s vital to us.

“Behind the scenes agents may be setting up things with football clubs, but it happens today. We don’t want to get rid of anybody at the football club.”

You do know that the word you use "an" is actually "and" ?

Only mentioning it as it seems you don't realise it is "and", although the way a lot of people in England speak you'd think there was no 'd'

"an" is used instead of "a" when the next word begins with a vowel

a dog
an elephant
a giraffe
an imbicile
a policeman
an attendant

It seems that the players whose only talent is working hard are praised, yet those who are talented with potential but not given the chance to show it are cack.

I don't like Babels attitude and it really hasn't helped matters.  He should be sticking it to the man when a small window of opportunity arises but I can also understand why he just can't be arsed.

The manager clearly doesn't believe in him nor will give him the chance (not as a sub, as a regular starter) to prove himself even when others are in the team who don't deserve to be there on form.

He may well prove to be a useless lazy fecker when he's playing regularly in a team (not at Liverpool under Rafa obviously), or he may start to realise his potential...but to judge him based on his bit part role at Liverpool is unfair.

If he improved his attitude maybe he'd get a run in the side, but the problem is too often he is pants so how can you justify including a lazy fecker with a poor attitude who does FA when he gets his chance?!? Now would be the time to give him a chance, emphasise that he is (only) getting his chance because of injuries and he must take it. Perhaps Rafa is as stubborn and inflexible as Babel is lazy and demanding, to not use Babel is what my mum used to describe as "cutting off your nose to spite your face" (and still does!) Sell him or use him, how can we really use lack of money as an excuse when he paid £11.5m for a player he will neither use nor sell!?!?

The proper term to use is "you would".

Are you for real with this post ?
I'm not going to speak for Nan, but perhaps she isn't aware of her error....not that it makes a blind bit of difference in the first place. I think it's extremely insulting to pick up on this and make such a big issue of it. Perhaps Nan hasn't been as fortunate as yourself in terms of the schooling she has had.

Agree about Babel if we can get someone to pay decent money for him we should cash in and hopefully have some money to buy a new player.
