RYAN BABEL to join Hoffenheim

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

If he were meant to come good, he would have done so eons ago. Boat has sailed in terms of babel im afraid. I think rafa knows it too and hes just waiting to see if he can jerk up the price abit more before selling. What im more concerned about though, is whos gonna come in as a replacement. With our 3 top scorers (torres, gerrard, benny) all out injured, i seriously cant see where our goal threat is gonna come from for the next 3-4 games. :O

You do know that the word you use "an" is actually "and" ?

Only mentioning it as it seems you don't realise it is "and", although the way a lot of people in England speak you'd think there was no 'd'

"an" is used instead of "a" when the next word begins with a vowel

a dog
an elephant
a giraffe
an imbicile
a policeman
an attendant

Oh I get you
You mean like

a napple
an appy
a negg
an ose
a norange

Birmingham to make third Babel bid

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has gone back with a THIRD offer for Liverpool outcast Ryan Babel.

McLeish is desperate to fend off interest from Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp and land the Dutch forward. And that deal will in turn help fund Liverpool's £14million move for Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones.

Babel, 23, is being bombed out of Liverpool after falling out with Kop boss Rafa Benitez and Birmingham have had two approaches rejected, including a second bid worth £10m. But McLeish has gone back with an improved package of personal terms worth an extra £10,000-a-week - and a guarantee that he will be played as a centre-forward.

Babel is desperate to get regular games in the Premier League to safeguard his place in the Dutch World Cup squad and was worried a move to Birmingham would not help his career if he was being played out of position.

Redknapp would love to sign Babel but could not guarantee him regular games as Tottenham have a wealth of strikers, including Jermain Defoe, Robbie Keane, Peter Crouch and wantaway Roman Pavlyuchenko. That has left the way clear for Birmingham. Ambitious McLeish has money to spend and is desperately trying to convince Babel to move to St Andrews.

Beskitas and Galatasaray are also interested, but Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is not interested in a player-plus-cash deal involving Jones and Babel.

Does anyone think Alex McLeish has been offered the Liverpool job and that's the only reason he is trying to take Babel to Birmingham? I can't think of any other reason why anyone would want to pay £10 mill for him ?????

:D
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

It should be boring Ciggy  :D

Yes, I know I can't even spell Saint correctly.

Now practise your composition, I want a 200 word essay on why Rafa is the right man for Liverpool.
