I see we're being linked with a swap deal : Babel for Kenwyne Jones....

Jones is an amazing player. He has skill, pace, body balence and can shoot really well. We could either keep Babel and never play him or swap him for a really good partner for Torres. Torres and Jones would be fuking imense.

Torres with all the skill in the World and the massive figuer of Jones who is no slouch himslef. Slip Gerrard back into the middle and we'd have a formidible bench of Aquilani, Chamahk, Kuyt, Lucas and Skrtle.

Lucas, Kuyt and Skrtel are hardly what i would call formidable ..

Out of the 3 the only one i would consider holding onto is Kuyt.. Not because he's any good but because at his age, chances are we wont be getting any sort of decent money if we sold him.. He's good backup for a Righwinger or a forward if we have an injury crisis upfront.. Skrtel and Lucas i dont think we'd have problems offloading for decent money...

Yh ok i shouldnt of said formidable, maybe solid replacements when needed. Aquilani is a quality backup if we decide to play 2 up top and Chamahk would be really good to have if we do actually get him. Those 2 would be the quality we could bring on to change a game and the other 3 would be good enough to hold down the fort if Maxi, Gerrard or Carra got injured

I think everyone is getting a bit excited here.Of what I have seen of Jones he is hardly the best(I might be wrong but not very often

) and his scoring record isn't the best.

Sunderland already have a pacey striker in Bent so I don't see Ryan fitting in there.

For those who have always moaned at Rafa for not giving Babel a run of games, well here is Babel's chance.

Hopefully after this run of games he will turn out good (I doubt it) but if not at least people cant use that excuse to moan at Rafa anymore

If we sell him I recon it will be a case of one less player but nothing to show for it.
Whatever you think of rafa the conditions he`s having to work in for a so called elite club is shocking.

babel along with lucas are ready made scapegoats. babel at any other club would've made a bigger impact because managers would've played him. at arsenal, utd or chelsea and he'd be flying. just another reason (in a long line of them) to hate benitez.
