Its about doing whats best for LFC and if Rafa can't get the best out of the team maybe its time we started looking for someone who can. When Rafa came he was chosen because he was supposedly a manager who could win the title WITHOUT spending big money. He couldn't manage that, but he as since HAD big money and we are left with a good team but a very weak squad.

If we are not suddenly going to get showered with money, maybe we should (AT THE END OF THE SEASON) give someone else a go. We have one of the worlds best goalkeepers, one of the worlds best defensive midfielders, THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD and the best striker in the world and yet we can't win games?

Something is going wrong somewhere and imo Rafa makes too many mistakes for a top team like we are.

But we crumble at even the slightest of injuries as our depth is non existant.
Gerrard is gone and Torres is not even close to 100%.
Our 2 best players, not to mention our 17 million rb is incapacitated.
The replacements are players like Degen, Voronin, Babel, etc.
And I say the squad is not good enough to challenge if we have poor luck with injuries.

But the team we put out on the field right now maybe isn't better when it is producing?

Degen... do i need to say more
Carra  going downhill
The Greek  1,5 million....
Lucas and Masch. 2 dmc offers little going forward
Kuyt alias mr no skill
A 70% fit Torres

And I know it is like talking to a wall sometimes but when it comes to spending Rafa has been allowed to spend big one year, the rest maybe even less than under Moores.

It's isn't if you have the best player in the world that is going to decide if you win titles, it is if you have proper backup when that player is injured...

I still maintain that there aree very few managers right now that could do a better job with the resources he has at his disposal.
With Gerrard and Torres off the team is filled freebies and -10 million players and that will never get you anywhere in todays
harsh football climate...

I ASK AGAIN .....So why have we lost so many games this season when we are at full strength or almost full strength

1. Overachieved abit last season
2. Carra has really gone backwards
3. 2 defensive fullbacks system replaced by 2 offensive fullbacks
expose the cb more and they haven't been able to cope.
4. Alonso was a big loss and wasn't made better by the owners need to take the money...
5. Kuyt had a season he will never come close to.
6. Dunno how healthy Torres and Gerrard has been since they have looked a bit off at time this season.
7. The belief the owners took away from the players.
Last season we came so close and there was a poitive atmosphere at the club. We all knew, like the players, that we were lacking a bit of quality in certain areas. The belief also seemed to be that there was money to spend in the beginning of the summer. Then the refinancing came and the players found out there was no money and Alonso's sale was used to plug
the holes in the owners sinking ship.
Even Reina came out in an interview and mentioned the subject. No matter the intentions, how often does that happen??
8. Even if our closest rivals didn't invest heavily teams like City, Spurs, Villa etc did which made the league even more competitive. And we just stood still.

I agree with what you've said to a certain extent mate, but that isn't my point. I'm not using it to counter anyone who has considered and considerable doubts about Rafa's management of the club, I'm essentially just saying (general comment) that in the state we're in, it doesn't do anyone any good to perpetually berate Rafa and the team. There's a place for constructive criticism just as much as there's a place for accepting reality, and the present moment that means that Rafa's here, the team are here and we need to get on with it.

Surely the fact that our two centre midfielders and a forward (mascherano, lucas, kuyt) cost about 35m and offer little threat, hell through in 13m babbel too and make it 48m on two midfielders and two  forwards but no attacking threat is an indictment on benitez?

Come off it mate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you know anything about football!!!!!!! ?????

WHO GAVE RAFA HIS SQUAD THIS SEASON!! ??????

JESUS! ???

This is Rafa's squad, players picked by him!!!!

He has let quality like Alonso, Sissoko, Garcia, bellamy, Crouch, Pennant, Keane, all go through the door and keep the likes of Lucas, Voronin, N'gog, etc stay playing for us.

No one but RAFA is responsible.

If fearing now, the likes of Tores or even stevie going to REAL MADRID come the summer!

people started getting well cheesed off with Houllier after three seasons, this is rafa's sixth.

If we do happen to lose to lyon this week

Season is over, totally.!

rafa has to be hel accountable.

his tactics are too defensive. Lucas, mascharano holding !?

its the   " we are scared to get beat " formation " iMo.

enough is enough.

Oh just :censored: of you :censored: I cant be arsed to argue really. Your all coming out of the woodwork now!!!
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

I admire loyalty but on this occasion its blind faith. The love for the manager is killing the team and we need to let go to look forward. People here refer back to the old days of Shanks and Paisley but these guys will be turning in their graves the way we are playing just now. Bottom line is whats happening is just not good enough for Liverpool Football Club and Benitez damn well knows it. What rankles with me is that people support Benitez these days more than they do the football club and I just do not get it.For the love of god lets all move on and try to stop the rot.Its time for change.

Aye, we know it's not, the players know it's not, so too does the manager. If that situation isn't going to change, perhaps because it's too expensive to sack him, perhaps because we're at too precarious a stage in the season for anything to change in that respect, what's the point in dwelling on it?

So, we've sussed the situation ain't peachy; do you sing louder or do you moan and groan?

If you're a realist you sing louder.

2. Carra has really gone backwards

Managers system exposing him has exacerbated the problem imo
3. 2 defensive fullbacks system replaced by 2 offensive fullbacks

Managers decision what system we play
4. Alonso was a big loss and wasn't made better by the owners need to take the money...

Alonso wasn't forced to go by the owners, he went because he was upset with the manager trying to sell him imo.
5. Kuyt had a season he will never come close to.
So play Babel (11.5million pound Dutch international)
6. Dunno how healthy Torres and Gerrard has been since they have looked a bit off at time this season.

I may as well blame Rafa for this one too as he is incharge of their training and fitness  :D

7. The belief the owners took away from the players.

We came close last season, even with little or no investment we should be doing no worse. Moral and belief should be instilled into the players by the manager.
8. Even if our closest rivals didn't invest heavily teams like City, Spurs, Villa etc did which made the league even more competitive. And we just stood still.

Our rivals are managing ,Arsenal have sold two of their best players yet are well above us. The mancs sold Ronaldo and Tevez yet are still above us. Money is becoming a pathetic excuse for under performance. We lost to fulham today Sunderland the week before neither of whom can compete with the money we have spent over the last 5 years. Maybe if we lost to Real Madrid you might have a point

:D

know what it is, part of me wants us to :censored: up so some of you lot really do :censored: off. lets see who really loves the club, wholl stay and fight for it through thick and thin. some of you really are a bunch of :censored: just in it for success. Its more than that. LFC is a family, win or lose we stick together, always have always will. We're all crying for the club to get in order and we cant even get ourselves in order. what a :censored: depressing dire situation this is. jesus :censored: christ
