Get Steve Bruce in

Yes that's a joke of a suggestion. We're 1 point ahead of Sunderland anyway so why would we want their manager  ??? Before anyone says Tony Pullis or whatever the feck his name is, we're two points ahead of Stoke as well so don't even go there. We don't want Owen Coyle either, he's sh!t because we are three points ahead of Burnley.

How bout teaching him how to win a :censored: Champions league trophy.

I doubt even Rafa could explain that mate. Most managers who win it are just lucky with the teams in it year on year its hit or miss for all of them.Don't get me wrong it was great he won it and fair play. But It was almost like it was ment to be way we won it and I don't think when managers win the CL much credit should go to them as I feel you have to be lucky as hell to win it at any time since there is so many good teams in it.Plus half the squad was gerard houllier picks Rafa just added a few good players to a well ballanced team.I give Rafa credit but I think he was very lucky. As all managers are if they win that comp.

Dav mate i support the team the club the tea lady everyone who is associated with this club an that includes Rafa , its not just about singing his name at the games mate ,for me i believe he is the best man for the job, yeh i scratch my head sometimes with the decisions he makes an he sometimes leaves me asking Why why why Rafa lad, I cant put me finger on it but i sincerly believe hes doing his best for us .

I am sure Roy Evans and Houllier did there best for us Nanny but at the end of the day their best wasn't quite good enough was it.

What irritates me is this Rafa can do no wrong business (not from you). When he is wrong he is wrong, it should be admitted by everyone and then we move on to the next game.

Hiding it behind money, injuries, parry, purslow and the two clowns does no one any favours.

He fecked up badly today, hopefully he does better next time.

do you know what Dav i was talking to a fella in the pub after the game . Arl b.astard same as me, this fella hasnt missed a game in 27 years , scraped the money by hook an crook to make the game today as hed just became redundent, he had tears in his eyes mate when he was tellin me he left the match with ten minutes to go. " Look at the fecking bench look at the fecking bench the man is tryin his best but hes coming up against a brick wall" he kept sayin, The club is in turmoil at the mo its rotton , were being crusified by the media an now were being crusified by some of our own fans, We need stability back an that includes some of our own so called best supporters in the world getting behind the manager an the team when they need us, Rafa goes mate an that stability will go into free fall,

Exactly what was said to defend Houllier Nanny, we didn't go into free fall after Houllier, so why should we now?

Saint i was left bewilderd mate with his subs today especialy the yossi one, Terrible sub imo , but i cant help it if i believe in my heart mate that hes the right man,  I just dont come up with the theory that hes sending us down the s,hitter like some believe, Hes not infallable (big word there for me) but hes not to be treated like a piece of sh.ite either like some treat him. Rafa has earned my respect an my support an as long as hes the boss he will have it.

Good post Nanny. I think he should have everyones respect for trying to do his best in a very difficult job. He still has my respect, I think its my trust he has lost along the way. He makes too many mistakes for me ..... top and bottom of it really.

I suppose its a bit like the old argument of who was the best manager Shankly or Paisley. I always went with Paisley because I thought that Shanks got the best out of his players but Paisley got the better players.

I have to agree that Houllier didn't exactly set the world alight with his style of football, but to be honest apart from towards the end of last season our football has hardly been rivetting. Great goals but not outstanding football.

Great title for the thread - if only it really happened. If we lose to Lyon next week, somebody at Liverpool has to be big enough to put Benitez (I never call him by his first name because I just don't like him) out of his misery, like a wounded animal. Trouble is, nobody at the club IS big enough to do the right and sensible thing.
