The excuses are so predictable they are funny. All this "bargain basement" stuff is utter nonsense, but it doesn't matter how often you prove it is nonsense they still say it. It's like a groundhog day, and all we need now to complete it are a couple of people coming into the thread and calling anybody who thinks losing your sixth game out of seven is a bit worrying, a c...

I agree with what you've said to a certain extent mate, but that isn't my point. I'm not using it to counter anyone who has considered and considerable doubts about Rafa's management of the club, I'm essentially just saying (general comment) that in the state we're in, it doesn't do anyone any good to perpetually berate Rafa and the team. There's a place for constructive criticism just as much as there's a place for accepting reality, and the present moment that means that Rafa's here, the team are here and we need to get on with it.

I posted something similar a couple of pages back(perhaps a little harsher) to Nanny..... don't blame you for not wanting to wade back through though  :D

What irritates me is this Rafa can do no wrong business (not from you). When he is wrong he is wrong, it should be admitted by everyone and then we move on to the next game.

Hiding it behind money, injuries, parry, purslow and the two clowns does no one any favours.

He fecked up badly today, hopefully he does better next time

Greavsie all that is true. The bit that i don't understand though is this.

People who think possibly changing the manager and bringing somebody new in might enhance the clubs chances of doing well, don't love the club. Those who think we should stick with a manager who hasn't won a trophy for three seasons and has presided over six defeats in the last seven matches, do love the club.

Those who think we should aspire to win trophies and are not happy with whats going on, don't love the club. Those who are prepared to accept the fact that we are not winning trophies, do love the club.

I don't get it.

I think if anyone was in it for the "success" they would have fecked off by now mate. 4 years and counting since our last "success". We are here to stay , its just the moaning and groaning that is getting louder.

I get the feeling people do not feel we can do any better and thats what annoys me. Benitez is as good as it gets? I do not accept it. Just because you support a manager no matter what doesnt mean you love the club, it means you are loyal to a fault and thats not healthy. The Rafa love in is harming the club now.

Yep, I broadly agree. I wouldn't agree that there aren't other factors - there are - and to that extent I'm probably going to disagree with yourself and Mick, but Rafa has to accept the lion's share of responsibility for things on the pitch and so far it's been well below par. It's the extent of it that shocks me, but we have to move on - we can only move on.

I know Rafa has had alot of injurys it sucks It really does but you just can't help but think this is a problem he has made for him over last 5 years.I mean you can only say o.k Rafa its not your fault before you start thinking hang on all those times it was your fault.  ???
