Maybe now Rafa has closed the exit door and had a word in his shell-like, he's worked out the only thing he can do is try
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

is he doing it for LFC or trying to catch the eye of a few scouts to get a move in the next transfer window though?

Does it really matter as it helps the club either way.

Let the hyperbole begin. :D  For my money, Babel is a potentially good right winger or centre forward (I actually think he's a touch better on the right flank than up top) but there's been nothing "great" about him in a Liverpool shirt to date.  Greatness is as much about consistency as it is about raw talent and Babel simply hasn't shown any.  I applaud what he's been doing lately but let's keep it real.

Bob look his stats up when playing up front I thik you be surprised to see he scored more goals then you think.  :)

He has prob played up front for us for about 2 or 3 games and i remember two of them and he was poor and didnt score .

I just hope if he starts tonight he doesnt have a poor form , has prob earnt a start after he last couple of subs appearances so lets hope he doesnt blow it .

Dropped Ryan Babel is 'scared into action' at Liverpool as he bids to revive Holland career

Ryan Babel says he has been scared into trying to salvage his Liverpool career. Babel, 22, has struggled to impress since moving to Merseyside from Ajax for £11.5m more than two years ago.

He was dropped from his national squad for last month's friendly against Japan and World Cup qualifier against Scotland and admits his dreams of figuring in the World Cup finals could be shattered unless his situation at Anfield changes.

Running scared: Ryan Babel  admits he is fighting for his career at the very top level of the game
He said: 'Not being called up by Holland has definitely scared me into doing something. The situation for me is clear. This has to be the year for me. I am trying to do whatever it takes to get into the team.
'If I give everything and the situation is still difficult, then you have to be honest with yourself. But I'm still confident that I can be a very important player for Liverpool.

'For the first time in 33 games, I wasn't called up for the national team. That was very scary. It's clear I have to play a lot of games for Liverpool to earn a ticket to the World Cup. The Holland coach made a statement that he wants his players playing for their clubs.'

Meanwhile, defender Daniel Agger is in contention for Sunday's game against Chelsea after playing 68 minutes for the reserves against Manchester City on Tuesday night. Agger, 24, has been out with a back injury.

He said: 'It's good to be back and it felt good to be back on the pitch again,he said. 'It's always frustrating when you are out injured and can't play football, so to get back out there again was great.'

Well what a great opportunity, for the mercurial dutchman, as we may need some divine inspiration at the bridge with our defence like it is, but if he is ineffective, then he does not become a bad player, but I fear his haters will be out in force come monday and god help lucas because he will get it even if he scores a goal.

A bit like when everyone said "sort our Momos passing and we will have a monster on our hands".

Babel lacks basic football skills such as keeping the ball as well as the intelligence and awareness. We know this as 9 times out of 10 when he has the ball the result is him either giving it away or running into a player, or both. He is way out of his depth at Liverpool and should be sold at the first opportunity.

He is very stupid for even saying this. But tbh I don't care where player motivation comes from as long as they play well for the team.I can't say Babel has had it easy from the fans from day one so I guess he needs to find motivation from where else not like he is getting love from most fans is it ?

Is Babel a tit ? yes. Is Babel lazy sometimes ? maybe. Is Babel still a liverpool player ? yes .So lets just support him for now untill he goes. This is starting to get very old now.I do also think he will be gone end of season if not Jan.

Completely given up on the lad. He is a total waste of space and I hope to fk we get rid of him in January. Technically inept and a very thick footballing brain isn't much help in the PL either. I am a fan of Dirk Kuyt but it does highlight the quality of Dutch football when you consider that Dirk scored about 38 goals in one season a few years ago for Feyenoyd.

Babel, Lucas, Aurelio, Ngog, Veronin and Mascha when he's winging aren't fit to wear the shirt. To think we have this lot and got rid of Momo who is doing brilliantly at Juve, Bellamy who is enjoying the Welsh connection, Crouch who is doing well at Spurs and of course Alonso who the Real fans love! Sorry to be such a miserable twa.t but I really am very very very p.issed orf !!!!!!!!! I'd sack the Spanish waiter tomorrow but of course we can't afford to!

Babel was awful on Saturday, no excuses, awful. All that said, I did say a few weeks back that fairly obviously at some point Torres would get injured and it wouldn't be a bad idea to have some sort of contingency plan. Babel looks about the best of a bad bunch in terms of our alternative strikers I thought, so why not bring him on as a sub UP TOP, possibly even give him a run out against a lesser light at Home. Instead of that, we bring him on occasionally and when we do, it's either left wing or right wing. Then, when Torres gets injured we say "there you go big Man, lets see what you've got".

Just sometimes I wish we'd apply this "meticulous planning" which everyone talks about to likely future scenarios. If we spent as much time considering such things as we seem to do working on cunnundrums such as how to stop Stewart Downing, we might get somewhere.

I hope this thread doesnt go to another page, lets just sell the lad and move on.

If we rewind 12 months, Ruud Van Horseface would have done a far better job at SCORING GOALS.

Pi$$es me off how he constantly sulks about not getting enough first team oppertunities, yet when he does he invariably fails to perform and justify his selection. Absolutely dire again at the weekend.
