Bammo - I just don't think the lads attitude isn't right. His reaction to Torres's goal after his surprisingly good cross speaks volumes. Looked as if he didn't give a fk! Like the goal he scored against United last season that is probably all we will get from him this season!

I think (OK - hope :D ) that his muted celebrations are down to lack of confidence. He always seems to be playing with all the pressure on him (from himself I mean) so even when he's scored it's as though that raises him to normal rather than jubilant.

When he played for Holland against us there was something there that I don't think I've ever seen from him during a Liverpool game - a smile. He plays better when he's relaxed and he needs to realise that if he believes he's good enough to play for us then he could be good enough. If he doubts himself then he'll never be good enough.

Easier said than done though :p ("On you go Ryan...I know there's 40,000 people here and millions at home doubting you and questioning your every move but there's really no pressure, enjoy yourself!")

did ok tonight showed flashes of his talent, i reckon a goal or two and hell start to shine, his attitude and workrate seem alot better when hes played lately, in his first season he was very useful espeacially when coming off the bench, he should aim to get back to that again then take it on from there

I just hope this new found drive in the last few games is because he wants to stay and not because he wants to put himself in the shop window.

But we play him on the left of midfield not the same position he played for Ajax or Holland.
He was left in a 3 man attack previously and seems far more suited to that position.
The problem is, we dont play that system and he is not a good enough player to change our system for.

Pfff you sound like a right tit did you watch game yesterday ?

He looks like he cares to me people are so short sighted when it comes to fringe players at our club they all can perform if given support and a good chances where they like to play.

Not every player is as gifted as Gerrard and can put in half decent performance any where on pitch.

Babel is a good right winger or a great forward nothing more nothing less asking him to play left midfield destroyed his confidence and that was down to Rafa. But now it seems Rafa understands where babel is best and I hope he keeps giving him chances to fill his boots in those area's.

Babel had improved a lot in all recent outtings. I think the most important changes i saw was his attitude and work rate. He seems to work more harder and trying to back track more. You can certainly see his effort was there. This is a very good sign because if his head is straight, he would play an important role for us. Hope he keep this up.

Let the hyperbole begin. :D  For my money, Babel is a potentially good right winger or centre forward (I actually think he's a touch better on the right flank than up top) but there's been nothing "great" about him in a Liverpool shirt to date.  Greatness is as much about consistency as it is about raw talent and Babel simply hasn't shown any.  I applaud what he's been doing lately but let's keep it real.

I can't believe the difference in Babel over the past 2 weeks, he is chancing balls down, putting in tackles and busting a gut, example was the first goal on Saturday, he flicked the ball to Kuyt them ran his nuts off to get the box for the cross, the old Babel wouldn't have done that, he even broke a smile too, lol.

I'm following him on Twitter now, they have landed in Florence and are on the way to the hotel. :)
