Liverpool Football Club - Games

Did Yossi pick up a knock?

Didnt see the game but peoples comments from tonite and the last game as well, maybe Pacheco is ready for a first team debut some time soon? Would be great if more of these youngsters started breaking though...we've really only seen Insua come through of late....

Back from Happel Stadium and as a fan of Rapid I have to say, Liverpool played disappointing. One good chance in the whole game by Kuyt. I expected Liverpool to show a bit more of interest in this game. I think N'Gog was one of the best. The goal in Minute 7 wasn't offside. The goal: on the one hand it was a good variant but it was the corner of the goalkeeper.

Rapid - Liverpool 1:0 (0:0)
Ernst-Happel-Stadion, 50.000 (sold out)

Goal: Hofmann (58./Freekick)

Rapid: Payer (56./Hedl) - Dober (64./Thonhofer), Eder, Patocka (46./Jovanovic), Katzer - Hofmann (77./Kulovits), Heikkinen (78./Kavlak), Pehlivan (61./Trimmel), Drazan (89./Schrammel) - Jelavic (56./Maierhofer), Hoffer (56./Konrad)

Liverpool (1st Half): Cavalieri - Degen, Carragher, Ayala, Insua - Gerrard, Plessis, Babel - El Zhar, Nemeth, Voronin

Liverpool (2nd half): Gulacsi (77./Martin) - Degen (64./Kelly), Agger, San Jose, Insua (64./Mascherano) - Kuyt, Leiva, Spearing, Benayoun - Pacheco, N'Gog

I'll be able to watch the game in the afternoon, meanwhile I'd like to know how did this CM Ayala in the game, as the Spanish press said he did a good work.

He was great Sabre, reminds me of Alonso on the ball.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Just got back off holiday so haven't seen any highlights of the game. All in all sounded pretty uninspiring. The main positive appeared to be Pacheco from what people have said.

I hope that he gets a chance during the season off the bench and not just in the League Cup games.

Pacheco is better than most of the strikers that sit on our bench.

I though Nemeth was the better out of the 2 but i have really been proven wrong by pre-season.
