Liverpool Football Club - Games

We've got wobbly face in White City come Sunday and this 'should' be the kind of game in which we build on from that win over WBA a fortnight or so ago.

Rodgers is under the cosh this year, given our very indifferent form and performances but he has a good opportunity to build up a head of steam with this lot. I must say, I like the way he used Gerrard in the last 20 mins or so against West Brom so that will be worth keeping an eye on if things aren't going to plan (again) up top. I think Sturridge, Allen and Can are back in contention and what I saw of Can prior to his international injury I must say I liked. I think he'll become a bit of a beast in the midfield, in due time.

It's time really for our defense and keeper to keep a clean sheet and for our attackers to put a few in the onion bag up the other end.

Mignolet
Johnson
Skertel
Lovren
Enrique
Gerrard
Henderson
Lallana
Sterling (if he isn't tired  :D )
Ballotelli
Sturridge

Mignolet, Skertel, Lovren and Ballotelli and need to pick up their games and put in solid performances, if they hold their own, we'll win.

0-3 Reds  :buttrock
Champions of England 2020.

not being a pessimist or anything but Fat Phil Dowd is ref for this match, you just know how much he hates us

on a positive most of our players are fit again with the exception of i think Lovren, Flanagan and Allen

I'd go with this team -

                                        Mingolet

                   Manquillo         Skrtel           Moreno

                               Henderson       Can

         Sterling                  Gerrard               Lallana

                           Balotelli            Sturridge

Really? Full backs as a back three? It would never happen.

Suicidal.

We should be playing the same system with Toure in place of Lovren.

We should be all over these, they are the worst team in the division.

You could throw him in the back 3 then.

Or with Can. Seriously that kid can play everywhere.

Anyways, Yakka is right, these guys are the worst team in the league and there can't be an excuse if we don't win this. Still, I doubt we'd try what Yakka suggested. We should keep it simple. The following line-up is a mixture of what I want us to play and what I think Rodgers will play:

                                          Mignolet

                   Johnson      Skrtel      Toure      Moreno

                                          Gerrard
                              Henderson      Can/Allen

                                           Lallana

                                Sturridge    Balloteli

Obviously I don't want Johnson to play but Manquillo has been playing non-stop for 90 minutes for about 2 months for both club and country (u21) and that's not particularly healthy for a young lad like him. I think BR will have this in consideration and will probably rest him. Since it's QPR, I'll have no problem with that.
Moreno played only one match for Spain's u21 so I don't expect Enrique to start. And Sterling, well he's tired :D. Seriously though, Hodgson may be a clown but Raheem really needs a rest and I think that this is a good opportunity, as long as any of Can or Allen are able to start.

Yes, there's a picture of both him and Can training. Don't think Lovren will start though, but Can hopefully will.

Also, no Joe Allen (at least not on the pictures).

Should have a full strength squad to pick from except allen and flanno

Important thing again is to get the 3 points and get back to back win for the first time this year.

Would like to see Hendo Can and Lallana as our midfield. with Sterling Balotelli and Sturridge as our front line

No point rushing Can and Lovren back for this. Skrtel and Toure should be able to do the job, while Sturridge and Balo up front should get the goals.

But then again, I said something similar for the West Ham game, we'll probably get spanked
