Bearing in mind he'll be coached by the man who took Carra from makeshift left back or right back and made him a top class centre back I think he'd be a very good signing.
I wouldn't mind Richards too if it's true he could be available for £5 million, I think Rafa could make a top class centre back and right back out of him and we'd potentially have 2 of the best English defenders for the next 10 years, which wouldn't be a bad thing at all considering UEFA's antics.

Micah Richards is sh!t player - have you watched Man City's defense this season. The guy has no positioning sense at all.
RUBBISH.

Glen Johnson's anticipated £18m switch to Liverpool has been put on hold with the main negotiating figures on their holidays.
The Anfield outfit remain quietly confident of winning the race for the England right-back ahead of Manchester City and Chelsea.
But everything is on pause with both Rafa Benitez and Johnson on their summer break.
In addition, Peter Storrie has been in Israel since Monday, discussing tabled bids with Sacha Gaydamak.
Sounds like Parry's still around!
If we really wanted him surely they could all get to a fax to get this completed. If Storrie's in Israel discussing tabled 'bids' then it doesn't sound like we're the only ones in for him.
I'll be happy when it's confirmed but at the moment i'm not overly confident it's a done deal.

All the moaners complaining about it costing too much were probably the same gaggle who were bitching that the money we paid for Torres was too much for a striker who was unproven in the Premiership and wasn't an out and out goalscorer, and thought we got done good and proper when we bought Mascherano for £18m.
