xabi drops deep to pick up the ball and play it - masher plays deep to protect the back four . Masher is one of the best DM in the world and that is fact and he has proved it on many occasions for both club and country .

I dont think anyone denying he's a good player, but the way most Liverpool fans talk about him u would think he was Maradonna.

Personally i do like him as a player, BUT he has some huge flaws and having him in the side weakens us an attacking force. Now personally i would still have him in the side but the likes of Kuyt and Arbeloa would have to be replaced with better players to accomodate him.

he isnt an attacking midfielder and never has been , he does do some decent work going forward but his strength is his defensive duties of which they are world class and have been so important to us ever since he has been at the club .and we didnt need to replace kuyt or anyone to accomodate him when we beat both chelsea and the mancs ? go figure.

And FD yes seen two midfielders together plenty of times - thanks for asking numpty. ncie to see you still claim to know more than international and world class managers.

Its all good beating the mancs and chelsea, but then failing to win against West ham, Stoke and Fulham. Against the decent sides who actually have a go at us we do alright but when a team asks questions of our attack buy parking 10 men behind the ball we consistently fail, a large part of this is down to the fact in Midfield we have Kuyt and Mascherano who cant create, and in Masch's case that also includes cant score or pass most of the time!

surely u can see this or do you think we cant beat those teams beacuse were unlucky all the time?

do you mean the same stoke and fulham who beat arsenal with all their attacking players ? and kuyt has created plenty so far and also scored a fair number of times as well .

and mash only played againjst fulham - against stoke we had players like gerrard and torres playing and west ham xabi .

do you mean the same stoke and fulham who beat arsenal with all their attacking players ? and kuyt has created plenty so far and also scored a fair number of times as well .

Arsenal are no way near as good as the media make out, and dont have loads of great attacking players, plus they were the away side against Stoke and Fulham. Lets see if Man utd, chelsea or probably Arsenal fail to beat those teams at home id be suprised

still doesnt take away the fact that mash only played in one of those game and against stoke we had prob out best 11 playing that day . most teams find breaking down teams parking the bus - chelsea ,mancs have had the same probs as well .

and yet we sit above them in the table as well - how has that happened then

Every team at the top will have some poor results and dodgy performances but its happeing to often at Anfield this season a last season too, im just talking about how that can be improved.

Were top of the table which is good but we have hardly set the world alight, to be honset i we have played well a few times and grinded out most of our results, which is fine as were still stocking up the points but were gonna have to improve if we wanna win the league, we cant play badly all season and get a way with it. Which is why i was talking about ways we can improve the team or is everything rosey coz were top by a point? theres still a long way to go

Pennant? he dosnt even play so how would he be replaced exactly? Torres coming back will make a massive diffrence but he still needs help and a decent right winger and right back would be a start

He doesnt play cause he isnt good enough and doesnt produce the goods - if he is replaced by someone better than that player would play hence improving the squad and whats wrong with arbeloa ? he has been very consitent this season very solid and played very well on a number of occasions and cant remember him letting the team down while playing - in fact when he was banned i remember most shitting themselves cause we couldnt fill the gap . Both arbeloa and Kuyt cant be slagged off for their performances this season .

Arbeloa is an average right back, who should be second choice at best, he is average defensively and average going forward. The reason we all panicked when he was out was because degen is our other right back and he is absolute garbage!
