Forget any speculation about DIC or Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum buying Liverpool. The facts as I have them are that Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has already made a renewed offer for LFC and it is in the process of going through. I'm told its a case of dotting the i's and crossing the t's. This won't be a rushed process but Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has told those concerned it must be completed by the end of the year but that date is worse case and it should be well before that. One of the main reasons behind his renewed determination to obtain Liverpool is this little venture
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubai_Sports_City
This is why DIC were very interested in Liverpool but as we all know a change of heart on Mr Moores part cost them the chance to own Liverpool then.
The aim is to hold a cup competition of some kind in this venue with the participation of M.City and Arsenal and of course Liverpool. As you can see the cost is estimated at $4 billion. This shows the reason why the current version of Liverpools new stadium has been delayed. Its simply not good enough for Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
As i have said I am told he wants Liverpool and he will get Liverpool, thats why he has taken a personnal interest in acquiring Liverpool as opposed to DIC. All my sources concern Dubai. I know very little about the yanks thats why I haven't been able to say in the past what their plans were. Obviously I am going out on a limb here but I am certain the info is bang on the money and as I have said this is why leaks have begun to appear with regards a possible renewed bid. I may get some more info over the weekend but Dubai are abit slow on Fridays and Saturdays.

I just wish that if we're eventually owned by one of those filthy rich billionaire mofo's we don't become another real madrid. It's important to the spirit of english football that the manager whoever it is to be given the authority to manage the team and not just coach it. Even in Chelsea, abramovich wants to buy this player and that player without mourinho really wanting them. And if as a manager you don't deliver with the players you bought for them, you sack them... doesn't make sense...

that initial post was very good and pretty reliable imo..
wikipedia link or not i mentioned a few pages ago that i had it on good authority that a bid was made by DIC and that the interest in Liverpool was more than just interest at this stage and that even future projects involving Liverpool and the city of Dubai have been under study at the major research and counseling institute in the city based on instructions from Sheik Mohammed himself..
Anyways have no idea about expected dates or deadlines for the takeover but from what i understand the Sheiks dont seem to be rushing a deal as yet

He was saying (and his exact words were)

Chelsea for 2 years were spending big money and they won the league, then Manchester Utd spent big money and they wont the league.

He was basicallly saying listen up G&H you need big money to win the league and you dont have it. (so :censored: off you :censored:)

We need closure on this whole issue.

I guess you judge the stress level caused by the Yanks by the number of posts each person has made on the subject.

Ciggy and Nan are stressed to the eyeballs. Is it a babe thing?

22 posts out of 230, that's impressive though when you consider that's under 10% and this whole situation equates to a good 50% of the stress in my life then I must do more :)

I'm sorry but this whole thing has been dragging me down for months. It seems every time we get close to a resolution I go onto www.newsnow to see that Hicks has released another statement saying he has no intention of selling. I hate the fact that I find myself trawling through one forum or another (this is by far and away the best by the way) looking for hope. I'm looking for the golden sky but I'm still not optimistic.

Until I see the 'American's agree to sell' on the BBC website I'm afraid I'll take everything I hear with a pinch of salt. Fingers crossed, that day might not be too far away though.

This is the BBC World Service, for the benifit of inglis5's sanity, the americans have sold the club. I hope this helps you sleep tonight.   :D
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.
