Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

no new news, but that is good news in a way. I am told that our owners are a bit shocked about all the reports in the press about them selling, i think they were sure they could do it without us finding out till the deal has been done.

it going to move very fast when it starts........and it might have started already. lets hope.

I am pretty sure it would be better for the club if DIC had to pay as high a price as possible. The higher they pay the more invested they are, and the longer it will take for them to see gains, meaning they will stick around longer.

Maybe. I am slightly suprised that they are still interested in LFC to be honest. They could quite easily have just thought
f**k it lets get another club who are smaller and cheaper and we could turn into a monster.

Is it just me or is everyone now starting to hate Man city. They used to be one of those clubs that everyone liked. They are starting to upset a lot of fans with these stupid bids...

I hope we dont do that when DIC are in charge... its pointless

I cant speak for everyone but I hate them becasue they can go out and buy the best players to make their history and we cannot do that yet we have so much history. Nobody hated Chelsea befofre Abramovich took over and then everyone hated them. I guess if we are ever in that position people will hate us also but at the same time if we are winning tropheys I wouldnt give 2 hoots about what they thought.

On a seperate note I just spent a shed load on kits and training wear from kitbag. Got my home and away kit as well as grey training top and black training shorts! Yeah!!!!  Kit bag is good!!

What Merril Lynch are saying is - here's the opportunity you´ve been waiting for, its all coming together after the Man City deal so dont blow as there is only one other Arab group, get out now. (And our fees are.... xyz which will be paid by LFC).

They´re not saying, your name is $hit, why dont you sell for emotional reasons?

Its no coincedence their recommendation came out exactly as the ManCity news became public.

you are spot on mate, Merril Lynch see this as the best time to do the deal.

1. he might get more money due to the Man city deal.

2. he has found it hard to do other deals with the shadow of liverpool still there.

but Hicks still has his own mind, Merril Lynch only tell him how he can make the most money .

Imagine a statement later saying BOTH Hicks and Gillett are not selling and are totally committed.

I don't think this is all about us becoming the new chavs or citeh. Agreed that is a part of it but for now the no.1  reason people want DIC to come in is that they've shown better intentions of how they would run the club to what Twit 'n' Twat are doing now. It will eventually come down to spending power but with the changing face of football we will need that power to compete and possibly survive.
