TAKEOVER COMPLETE - H & G Finally Jibbed!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby JohnBull » Fri Aug 22, 2008 12:28 pm

The BID difference between G&H and DIC is that the ingoing would not have been transferred to the club debts as soon as they took over.
DIC are not, and never will be, fly-by-nights. They are a well respected and reputable business who do not involve themselves into the day to day running of the firms they buy out. Their idea is to find well run but under capitalised businesses and get them up to their full potential by investing in the future.
Couldn't get much further away from the methods of G&H who still haven't put their hands into their own pockets.
DIC are well known to have a personal interest in LFC but that would not make them buy into us for just sentimental reasons. Their intention is be to be associated with winners. They do not associate themselves with losers. They can obviously see the potential in LFC and they would likely keep the good bits and shed the deadwood.
If you want a good laugh - Parry is quoted at 12-1 to take over from that other disgrace to Merseyside, Brian Barwick as the FA Supremo. The mind feckin boggles !!!

Fed up with this now.

Anfield our only target, says DIC
Aug 25 2008 by David Bartlett, Liverpool Daily Post

Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum/Tom Hicks/Anfield montage _320

DUBAI International Capital are “only interested” in buying Liverpool FC, it was confirmed by a source last night, after it was reported the company was bidding for a stake in Manchester City.

It was reported yesterday that troubled Manchester City owner Thaksin Shinawatra was in talks with DIC about buying a 10% to 15% share in the club.

The Daily Post under- stands that, while there is Middle Eastern interest in buying into Manchester City, it is not coming from Dubai.

A source close to DIC said: “DIC are not interested in getting involved in Man City, their interest is only in Liverpool Football Club.”

If DIC were to acquire a share in another Premier League club, it would then not be able to buy into Liverpool if American co-owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks decided to sell.

Companies are not allowed to own more than one football club.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Whilst it's good that DIC are showing they are still interested I still dont see how they will get any closer to owning the club unless they put in an over inflated bid. Then again they are busines folk so they would know full well whether they were wasting their time or if there was another way. The question is, what exactly is it they are waiting for? I know its only 2 games gone but it looks like we just might be off to a good start for the season so the last thing any of us want is any public airing of laundry to destabalise us as we saw last season.

I honestly think that they're waiting for this supposed pay-up or refinance deadline that Twit 'n' Tw@t are facing come the years end. I just get the feeling that DIC believe that T 'n' T will be unable to service their debts when the banks come calling and will then step in and try to save their hides by buying them out.

Either way I just want it straightened out one way or the other but preferably at a time when it's not going to affect the team. If DIC were to make a move during the season I would hope that they'd learn from T 'n' T's mistakes and conduct the business away from the media spotlight.

Well... AbuDhabi United Group investmnt & develoment just bought ManCity.. Very similar to DIC in many different ways and are probably worth more than DIC atm . Anyways few minutes after the deal was announced ManCity were reported to have put out a bid for Beratov.. haha.. but yea they said when they signed the deal that they would try to sign the best players in the world so..
Can see DIC pushing very hard to buy Liverpool now ..

Well DIC have tried to be in contact in the last 6 weeks (just to keep their name in the frame) but i do fear that there never will be a deal with DIC, in fact i can see DIC buying the Toons.

Bit of news from my mates in the London Stock exchange. A call was put into DIC the at 9:53 am today by some traders to ask for any information on a Liverpool takeover after the news of Man City had come out.

All they were told was , We would still like to be working with Liverpool but right now there have been no contact with their owners.

Should say that my mates in Stocks feel that DIC will end up buying the Toons.

DIC have not had an interest in buying Liverpool for months , it is Shiek mohammed personally and his firm Dubia Holdings that want to buy Liverpool , your mate is asking the wrong people. FACT.

as for the Dubia Holdings , Dubia Ports they are all the same thing just under other names.

By the way there was a Guy from Dubia Ports at the end of my street the otheday. he was there to do the deal over the new port that right next to me. its going to kill my area of Thurrock.
