Martin O'Neill has been successful with every team he has managed and has turned Villa into a very competitive side on a small budget. As Alonso_14 commented, he was many peoples choice to replace Houllier.
Gareth Barry is his teams leader and hes doing everything he can to keep him, which is what any decent manager would do.

Whatever he has done in management he is still a total c'ck and has been an embarrasment as a pundit with the bbc during the euros.
I cringe everytime i hear him come out with stupid comments, he gives the impression to me of an old confused person who has alzheimers.

Lets pay the 20 million for Barry give Martin the funds to buy Bentley and Sidwell ,lets put a smile back on that chirpy little Irishmans face , lets even throw in a couple of potato fields and a Spudulike restaurant .
Or the other side of the coin is, we could leave the Leprechaun King in limbo and gleefully withdraw our offer from the table, leaving the wee little man crying profusely.
