The only problem i have is the amount of money we wll have to spend to get him to liverpool

it doesnt matter, we have alot of money

Liverpool are now front runners to land Southampton star Gareth Bale in the summer.

Bale was also a target for Man United and Arsenal in the January transfer window, but opted to stay put.

But his advisors have told the Saints full back will definifely be leaving this summer.

And Liverpool believe they have the upper hand over their rivals with Malcolm Elias, the man who scouted Bale, as well as Theo Walcott, now installed as director of Recruitment at the clubs academy.

Rafa Benitez now has the cash to splash since the recent takeover of the club and is ready to land one of the hottest teenage talents in the country.

Imo i say if the young land does arrive in the summer then Happy days.  :nod

yes, micah richards and gareth bale are very good young british prospects and i would be very pleased to see them in a liverpool shirt.
however, reading the papers with asking prices, etc.. these two players would cost what? £25-30 million for both? overpriced imo.

IF aurelio can come back for next season and pick up from the form he left, there wont be a left back problem to sort out.

Bale is a fantastic player who will do very well in the Prem (if he comes). A prime example of Southamptons Youth Acadamy.
Hopefully we will see him performing in the EPL next season (if S'hampton win the play-offs).
