Just a Scouser who wears his heart on his sleeve no shame in that if it needs saying i will say it.

Hold up , you disappear from this forum for a couple of years and then within weeks of returning you decide the forum is on the slide and get the hump because nobody responded to your latest post ?

Don't care where you wear your heart mate , just don't wear your gob where your ar'se is.

We should not be paying anything over 8M for him.

Agreed.  Villa aint going to let him go cheap and he can say he wants out all he wants but Villa wont be bullied into letting him go for less than £15 mil.  We dont have that much money and shouldnt waste it on Barry.

LOL

First thing out of MON's mouth on the Beeb on June 7th was him whining that he wouldn't support Spain because they had LFC players in the squad.

Three weeks later, Spain are champions. Torres the winning goal hero.

Arbeloa, Alonso, and Reina all with winners medals.

In your fooking face!!!!!

I really think he has been bad, i like him as a manager, he has done a superb job everywhere - jury stiil open on Villa but he has been a t!t in these championships and well OTT, i know this whole Barry saga has been bad and i think that we (rafa & Gerrard) could of dealt with things far better and showed Villa and there fans more respect, but lets not be stupid, this happens in football ALL THE TIME, virtually every transfer is done because of a little word in the ear or whatever, he has been a little petulant and needs to now stop broadcasting every little detail of stuff thats usually kept behind closed doors, i did like him as a manager but i am losing any affection i had towards him by the day.
That last statement sounded so gay  :D  alls i mean is that he just needs to get on with things and start behaving like a proffesional football club manager again, as he is fast becoming a laughing stock imho.

Firstly I would like to reiterate the fact , although I haven't frequented this forum for a couple of years ,I have viewed it ,but have not felt the need to become embroiled in any opinionated slanging match .My second point is who better than someone who has been part of this forum when it was a haven for knowledgable fans ,instead of the copy and paste brigade to proffer his opinion ,someone who has had 2 stints as a newbie .
I am merely stating a fact Woof something drastic needs to be done to ensure new members stick around , and are made welcome .

Copy and paste brigade? unless your reading the rumour mill thread that hasnt happened with the rest of this forum. Something drastic needs to be done to ensure new members stick around? Of course, your right, but is that down to this forum? or indeed the mods? or is it down to the arrogance of new members joining with the intention of acting a fool and acting like they know everything simply because they are a regular on another forum demanding attention? Im with woof on this one, no drastic action is needed, at least not from the mods and us who are regular on here. The action that is needed to be taken are by members who appear now and again claiming to be of the mind of Isaac Newton or Einstein. "I art clever than thou", not here you aint. If you dont like it, then click on bookmarks, right click on this forum link then select delete. It really is that simple.

Mate, let it slide or at least highlight your concerns /grievances to the mods via PM. You're getting yourself drawn into an argument. An argument that you feel is contributing to a slide in the forum's value. My 2p worth.

Back to topic.
I think this has gone on far enough and we should just sever contact and look for another target. I don't think that Barry has behaved in anything other than an honourable way. Villa was the club that made his name, he has a contract them and he's respecting that contract by NOT handing in a transfer request. With due respect to MO'N and Barry himself, 20 million quid is just too much for the lad, England International or not.

Obviously I have hit a raw nerve so I will drop it ,as for your other point I certainly don't claim to be of a higher iq than any one else ,but I am not going to start apologizing for the manner in which I post.

You hit a nerve when you said about the newbies. The new members are given a chance, and they are shown total respect by long term members and mods but that fact seems to have surpassed you, indeed as you say, you are twice a newbie and still here posting negatives about this site, the fact you are still here shows there is more tolerance than ever. Enough with the negatives, lets have some decent posts. I have yet to see that from your good self.
