I agree with his thoughts on best - in pure footballing terms (ignoring the fact his was a drunken idiot) he was up there with pele,maradona,zidane,moore,beckenbaur as the best footballers ever in pure ability terms

All this bun throwing about Best and yet Gascoigne doesn't even get a mention.

Until now.

Seriously think that Gascoigne had more in the tank than any UK born player thats been mentioned so far. Unfortunately although the tank was full his head was empty.

. The Lad (imo) could've been right up there with the all time legends of footy. We all saw enough of him to recognise the talent, sadly for him and us it died a lot quicker than even George "anyone got a kidney to spare ?" Best.

I think that f'ucker Hoddle screwed him big style by not taking him to the world cup finals

what a f'ucking massive error in judgement that was.

for the record i saw Hoddle several months later as he was passing a crowd. needless to say, i shouted why didnt he take Gascoinge?

there was no reply from the Hod

so i shouted back : Fu*king thought so

my blast did get a look, but his eyes were down and solemn

i reckon he knew he'd got it wrong about Gazza

Surely you have better things in life to do then to point out my poor grammer and spelling errors.

It isn't my strong point i have very bad dyslexia i do my best.

I feel the attack was more point due to that I have a opinion different to yours.

Find it funny how people on this forum are all for surporting things like highbrough , which is good so do I.

Yet you find time to take the pi.ss out of some one for a disability.
