BTW I agree with Karhaz about DIC screwing up in not buying us the first time around, they must bitterly regret not being a bit tougher back then becuase it will now cost them a lot more money if they want LFC. Good businessmen I don't think  :no

If Hicks and Gillett deliver us another big name signing in this tranfer period then I expect peoples attitudes will start too change a bit, they've already given us Torres and Mascherano, not too bad really.

Don't get me wrong I don't like either of them but I think we have to start getting used to them as they me around for a while, and yes I know I have changed my tune but I was expecting to hear something before now  :sniffle

Not a :censored: clue.

Go back to the beginning and read up the facts regarding DIC bid they made the offer it was accepted deal done on a hand shake and then they were in what you called property terms :censored: gazumted.  They were betrayed by Moores and Parry for a few dollars more . Im suprised there still around wanting to buy us , after what they done .

As far as groundsharein goes not a chance will i share my seat with a bitters

Gazumpted or not. Isnt it embarrasing to be being beaten by two people who dont have as much money? The people involved with DIC described the initial price as a "steal". DIC could be the saviours of our club, could put us right up there with chelsea and united, and yet refused to buy the club because someone else came in with an offer. Because they knew the money they would make should there offer be accepted, the price initially asked. Its a lame argument against the yanks, a handshake, it was agreed. Please. How many times has a player agreed to join one club to be swayed at the last minute by another offer, a better offer? The one question in my mind, is this. Why are the yanks in charge and not DIC? You hear about DIC all the time, from Moores inviting there members to games to people like us discussing them on the forum. Are they hoping that the yanks run themself and the club into the ground before deciding to sell? In order to get a better deal then initially offered or is it simply down to the DIC showing a fleeting interest rather than a permanent one.

I can understand people having DIC as potential future owners, but they are simply watching and waiting for an opening to get the club at a lower price. Bearing in mind, the initial price was a "steal"

I have never believed in the 90 expiration of the veto mate, scan back about 30 or 50 pages or so and see  :D

If there was a 90 day limit I think things would have been a lot quieter earlier in the year when rumours were flying round and a lot noiser now.

DIC would have just sat back quietly counting off the days secure in the knowlege that all they had to do was wait.

Unfortunately I think Kharhaz is right on this occasion, and DIC are now waiting to see if H&G mess up the financing so they can buy the club cheap.

Supposedly DIC are still talking, but nothing seems to be coming out if they are?

Manchester City chief lined up as Parry faces the axe at Liverpool

By Ian Ladyman Last updated at 10:22 PM on 03rd June 2008

Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry

The future of Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry looks uncertain after it emerged that his opposite number at Manchester City has been approached about his job.

Last season Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks labelled Parry a failure and called on him to resign. Now the Hicks camp have asked Alistair Mackintosh if he would consider a switch.

With Mackintosh unsettled by life under Thaksin Shinawatra at City, a move to Liverpool would be attractive. The nature of his role at City is unclear after the appointment of executive chairman Gary Cook.

If Parry is to keep his job, he must hope that Hicks loses his power struggle with co-owner George Gillett. Hicks' plan to replace Parry will go through if he can persuade his business partner and former friend to sell his stake in Liverpool.

Mackintosh will be seen as a surprise choice in some quarters but it is understood that Hicks has been impressed by the manner in which the 37-year-old chief executive raised City's profile until the sale of the club to Thaksin by former chairman John Wardle last summer.

With Liverpool due to move to a new stadium in nearby Stanley Park in the coming years, Hicks also feels that Mackintosh's experience in relocating City to the City of Manchester Stadium could be a benefit.

Unbelievable! This thread has gone on for 278 pages with nothing coming out of it. This thread has given me hope and then taken it away. It gave me hope again and again took it away. On and on it has gone on and it is driving me nuts. Those fecking w@nkers have got to go but it does not look like it is going to happen, I am resigning myself to the horrible feeling that this idiot (Hicks) will be here at least a few years. Very frustrating!

I think we have to start accepting that Hicks and Gillett will be around for a while longer but lets just hope that they can give Rafa some money in this transfer period. I don't actually think we are all that far behind, we need one great winger and one great striker and by selling Alonso, Crouch and JAR plus what moeny we get for transfers we should be able to secure the players we need.

I'm feeling the same as everyone else now ,it's gone on far to long . I'm still trying to look on the positive side though . No news is good news is the way i'm looking at it at the moment .
If DIC had pulled out ,we would have heard it by now from somewhere. Dic would have said something ,G+H would certainly have said something . It's all to quiet if you know what i mean , i definatley think somethings going on behind the scenes , what that is i can only hope that there still negotiating to sell there shares in the club . I hope so anyway , i cannot stand the thought of going into a new season with them two at the helm.

Joint LFC and EFC stadium back on tableJun 4 2008

By Luke Traynor, Liverpool Echo

A SHARED stadium for the city’s two football clubs is back on the drawing board today.

Sports minister Gerry Sutcliffe has not ruled out a joint home for Liverpool and Everton, despite the Reds killing off the idea more than a year ago.

His comments will raise fresh concerns among supporters of the Blues’ move to Kirkby that the government will “call in” the £400m for a public inquiry next week.

That would potentially delay the scheme by a year and add millions of pounds to the cost.

Culture secretary Andy Burnham MP, a Blues season-ticket holder, believes a joint home for Liverpool and Everton is “highly attractive”.

As I have said before recently.

I would be very interested in hearing what they had to say and as long as there were some conditions - such as we keep all our revenue, they keep theirs etc - 80,000+ seater, I wouldn't object to the plans.

What about the Kop?
What about the Hillsborogh memorial?
What about the statue?
What about our trophy room and museum?

Everton wont want all this.
And im sure season ticket holders in the Kop wont want to share their seats they pay good money and wait years for with Everton fans who get theres for fu'ck all!
Everythings wrong with the idea, its rotten to the core!
I cant believe any of our fans would even consider it!
