s@int - The final is going to be between Chelsea and Man.U

Kharhaz - do you think Torres will score in the final?

:D

Ive just seen this so sorry saint for the delayed reply.

My reply is nothing like that. My response has always been, lets keep it real and look at the facts. The facts in my opinion is lets look at things as supporters and the actions throughout the season. Your facts differ from mine, you read papers and take in what they say. Your opinion, based on what you read makes sense to you, it doesnt to me. I have always said I would much prefer to read peoples responses on here rather than the press because it just makes more sense, who would you listen to? someone who watches the team train and watch them play or some suit being paid to raise stories that will grab attention through sports headlines which sells papers? The point I raised initially was the fact some suit took quotes from steven gerrard of the lfc.tv site and decided to twist them.

So do you dispute that we owe £350million?
Or that we have to pay huge interest payments?
Or that we have never made a profit of over £10million?
Or that we will be further in debt as we have to again borrow more money to build the stadium?
So where is your counter argument apart from shutting your eyes and whistling loudly?

You have NEVER explained how we are going to pay off the loans .
All you do is moan on about fkn newspaper articles.

I dont deny the club are in debt but the figures your quoting, are they directly from lfc's accountants who would willing tell you this or from figures being branded around in the press?

I have never explained how we are going to pay off the loans because all that we are sure off is that there are loans but noone knows for sure how much the loans are. Or is it a case of lets load up football manager 2008 and go from that? Like I said, its about knowing the facts, and none of us do.

You accuse me of sticking my fingers in my ears when something is written that doesnt agree with me and yet here you are doing the same.

Hypocrisy - an expression of agreement that is not supported by real conviction.

Why not try doing a little research then come back and argue - there are plenty of facts if you will just search.

A statement from Kop Football Holdings (Ltd), the American duo's holding company, confirmed that of the £350m refinancing package, £105m will be debt tied to the club.
Of that, £45m will be used for future player transfers and to meet the club's working capital needs, while BBC sports editor Mihir Bose said £60m will provide the start-up money for the new ground.

"The refinancing deal that Hicks and Gillett have struck only lasts 18 months,"

Liverpool Football Club –

£45m working capital to refinance existing club debt, thus freeing up short term cashflows.  This takes the repayment of existing debt from less than 1 year to more than 1 year.  As a result the overdraft the club had is likely to have been cleared.

£60m capital for preliminary work on new stadium in Stanley Park.  Until this starts the cash would either not have been drawn down from the bank, or it will be sitting in the clubs account accruing interest.  This debt should not be a big issue, as the stadium is a club asset and should be paid for out of the clubs finances.  The ultimate aim being for the stadium to pay for itself through increased revenues.

Total - £105m

Kop Football (Holdings) Limited –

£174m to refinance borrowings to purchase shares

£11m to refinance costs of raising original finance

£24m, approx interest charge on original debt (assuming £298m borrowed originally)

£11m, approx cost to refinance debt.

£25m, extra finance taken.  Reason unknown but it maybe for covering the following years interest payment.

Total - £245m

At an approx interest rate of 8% giving an annual interest charge of £19.6m.

Until then - We lost to Chelsea mate - we are not in the cl final

If you mean searching through press reports then forget it.
If you mean looking at the season then the only let down has been the stadium.
If you mean we was under the promise of having millions to spend when the yanks took over, look at the topic first raised about this, it was quite clear we wouldnt have the money to spend.

The research isnt needed, nor are the over reacting drama queens.

I prove my hypocrisy point. Its easy to agree with those who agree with you. But you have no argument against people like me who call it how it is.

Here's an idea. Kharaz, just say for instance that Saint's figures were somewhere near, what would you think about the whole thing then?
