Apparently a source at SKY said they received a copy of the letter sent to Parry from Hicks via E-Mail, all they will say so far is that it came from Raffathegaffer@yahoo.co.uk make of that what you will

Parry snubs Hicks quit demand
http://ukpress.google.com/article/ALeqM5hIo8_rhhiijfWy-E1aWLz0ZN-YJg

A defiant Rick Parry has made it clear he is going nowhere after refusing Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks' demand that he resign.

The club's chief executive hit back on another astonishing day of boardroom turmoil at Anfield. It was revealed on Thursday Hicks had sent a three-page letter to Parry insisting he tender his resignation, as the battle for control at the club reached a new level of embarrassment for British football's most successful club.

Parry, chief executive for more than 10 years, will formally refuse to quit by return of post. In a statement released to PA Sport, Parry made it clear he is prepared to take on Texan co-owner Hicks, saying: "It is my intention to remain focused on the job of serving Liverpool Football Club to the best of my abilities at this very important time of our season."

It is also believed Parry is seeking legal advice over his concern Hicks' demand had not been discussed at board level first.

There is also disquiet over claims Hicks' son, Tom Jnr. is alleged to have been sending texts to fans' groups over the issue of Parry's continued involvement at the club, and that could also be part of the legal discussions.

Parry clearly believes he has the backing of the club's other co-owner George Gillett, and it is known potential buyers Dubai International Capital have no plans to oust the man responsible for the day-to-day running of the club if they eventually buyout the Americans.

In a further development, DIC chief executive Sameer Al Ansari said the consortium would "still love to own" the club.

Sources close to Al Ansari also insisted he did not tell an Arabian business magazine DIC were prepared to pull out of negotiations.

TBH, mate, nothing he does surprises me anymore.  I could see him trying on some Texas-sized display of crocodile tears to ingratiate himself with the supporters again.  Either that or he'd be totally clueless about the anniversary and issue some self-serving press release like it were any other day.  Hope not but I wouldn't rule anything out with this f.uckwit. :no

This thread is 234 pages long and we are no closer to sorting out the ownership issue than we were on page 1, which was Ivor the Injun saying that Rafa might be tempted with the England job.

I wouldnt be surprised if the very next post after this is a repórt that Rafa might be interested in the Barcelona job. And I wouldnt blame the lad, the club is screwing things up bad style.

At least Parry somewhat late in the day is showing that he has some balls for once.

He has no balls , he probabley knows that DIC will be taking over so he gets more money to line his pocket when THEY get rid of him. He wants to be the one that is there to welcome them saying "oh those nasty Americans, thank god you came to save us, sorry about :censored: you off with your offer"

That just convinces me even more that Hicks is now a man being backed slowly into a corner.

He's alienated the fans.

He's alienated his business pardner / co-owner.

He's more or less alienated his manager in the past year.

Now he's alienated the man employed with the day-to-day running of the jewel in his crown and in the long run probably the remainder of the board (if he hadn't already).

Don't exactly sound like the moves of a man holding all of the cards in this power struggle do they?

Hates a strong word. But its a understatement for Hicks. Hes digging us deeper into the ground. Money grabbing fat useless moron. The more he does things like this the more I think he does them on purpose. Every time around the time of a big game he comes out with some bull. I hate the man.

Love him or hate him Parry has now become a vitally important pawn in this game, I cannot believe how completely fecking stupid Hicks is though, asking Parry to resign without discussing it with the board, that man is a buffoon and I genuinely think he is running out of options. DIC to take over by the end of the season if not sooner.

This whole situation is so crazy.  How the hell can professional business men act like this?  I can't wait till we get rid of these disgraceful owners.
