Somethings going on i can feel it and i dont think im gonna like the outcome

One of the papers made a very good point today, why would Gillett who has kept out of the news and away from Anfield for months suddenly assure a high profile? Agreeing to go the Emirates last week, missing it so going to Anfield last night with his Gumbo son who was supposed to be the link man then simply walked away without explanation, and of course, do the Canadian radio interview last week.

He was content to lay low, suddenly he´s decided he´s back in the game. What changed?   Does he has a DIC behind him?

I know Reg its wreckin my head  but are we bein led up the garden path by Gillette and he is gonna sell to Hicks, Ive got a feelin he is and him and Parry will be gone soon. I didnt see Moores sitting in his usual spot next to Parry last night was he even at the game.

Hmm, I'm not so sure, with all the egos at Barcelona I don't think Rafa's brand of rotation would work at all, in any case he'd probably pick Barca's worst, but hardest working, striker and play him every single game  :wwww

Stop talking  bollox for once!

I've been wondering whether that may be a realistic way around this nightmare. If Gillett is as genuine as he wants us to think then could he not form an alliance with DIC. DIC bankroll him to buy out the hillbillie and then Gillett steps into the background and allows DIC to take over the club after a reasonable amount of time. As far as we know there is no clause between these two soft shites saying that the other can block who bankrolls the others buyout. Again the only stumbling block would be Hicks' stubborn :censored: stance about not selling up.

Yeah I noticed that, typical ITV commentary incompetence.

Yeah that was a classic!!!! Almost as if the cameraman planned that very moment.

Hypothetically speaking if we get past Chelsea it could allow Hicks to hold out for even more. At what point would DIC walk away?

If DIC walk away it will be out of boredom, not money !

Virgin are now seeking to work together with them, DIC are getting on with life so if something is not sorted out soon they WILL find alternative deals.

Liverpool Deal OVER says Dic

http://www.arabianbusiness.com/516204-....d?ln=en

by Tamara Walid on Thursday, 10 April 2008
NO DEAL: Dubai International Capital’s has withdrawn from its planned bid to buy Liverpool until its current owners reach agreement. (Getty Images)Dubai International Capital has withdrawn from its planned bid to buy Liverpool until its current owners reach agreement, according to DIC CEO Sameer Al Ansari.

Al Ansari admitted he would still “love to own” Liverpool Football Club and will “continue to be interested” – but that for now, a takeover is not on the cards.

His comments come in an exclusive interview with Arabian Business magazine, to be published this Sunday.
In the interview, Al Ansari denies further pursuing the Liverpool buyout deal, as the conflict between the club owners resulted in a “very difficult and complicated situation”.

“You have two partners who do not see eye to eye. And we decided that we pull out completely. Let them sort out their problems,” Al Ansari tells the magazine.

DIC was prepared to pay almost $790 million for the club, which was bought by its current owners, George Gillett Jnr and Tom Hicks, for about $348.7 million in February 2007. The pair also took on about $88 million debt.

The deal did not go through after the two partners disagreed; Hicks refusing to sell his 50% stake or even a minority stake, and Gillett being pro the deal.

“We will continue to be interested and would love to own the club but we are not going to put ourselves in a difficult situation where we make the investment but we have no control over the destiny of the club and we cannot influence the success of the club,” he adds, insisting the deal can only happen for the “right reasons”.

“Unfortunately, the terms that have been put on the table do not allow us to do that,” he says.

In the same interview, Al Ansari also denies any talks with the Virgin Group about investment backing after the latter was hit hard as a result of the ailing US economy.

“We are not in discussions with Virgin so whatever is in the press is just speculation,” he says.

Not surprised but would'nt be to worried. Hick's is just hanging on knowing that DIC was there and trying to hold out for a kings ransom, with DIC pulling out it puts more pressure on him to sort out the financers and if he can't get backing he will have to go back to DIC cap in hand and then they will be in a stronger position. Also the win against Arsenal takes a bit of pressure off Hicks, if we had lost DIC would still be there

This is all just bullsh*t! I've heard nothing but rumor and opinion about this and that, or what's supposed to be going on, or relating to what Hicks' tactics are and all that shyte.

End of the day, the c*nt may cough up the coin for Rafa in the Summer or I'll be f*cking p*ssed. He's been shopping in Tescos for too long now. If Rafa gets us to this final and wins it, and then can't spend the money he made from that, then I want him to walk. F*ck that.

Key sentence:

“You have two partners who do not see eye to eye. And we decided that we pull out completely. Let them sort out their problems,”

Once again they´re giving Hicks the 2 fingers.

But they´ll be back - the tv rewards are too great and we´re on the verge of domination again.
