way this would get most impact i think if all the season holders got a big banner and put on it "GET OUT HICKS YOU GET NO MONEY FROM US" on it on TV game went in put up the banner/banners then all walked out at kick off that would make such a massive impact i would be front page news.

Completely agree here, IT IS the fans that have the power we are the ones that can withhold the money that the yanks so desperately seek. It is just a case of us all coming together under one banner ,one agenda. we must get the message across to the "just support the team brigade" that if they continue as they have done there may be no team left to support. i compare their view that we should just carry on as normal and cheer the team on as if nothing was happening in the hope that this may help the team win a few games in the short term as--          nero fiddling while rome burnt

yeah and i think it would only take 1 game 2 tops to get message across also the press would hopefully get on his back too and make him a villian a real national villian which of course would make his life over here very hard.

i agree with this (as i said earlier in this thread) unless we stop buying merchandise and food/drink from the ground he won't get the message. He doesn't care about being liked, he wants cash. I can't see people stopping going to the game btu we can stop buying stuff while we're there.

On Saturday i'll fill up before i go to the game and then afterwards but while i'm there i'll only support the team- not the Yanks!

Sorry but i know it hard but merc sale are nothing to the money he will make on the gates only way to make a big enuff impact is to boycot a game even season tickets holders have to leave.

It's the message it will send that is the point 1 game where there is no fans in the ground will surely point out how mad every one is at him , then and only then i can see him fooking off.

Dont get me wrong it will be sad very sad but i do feel hard times call for hard choices , I dont think the players wouldn't be too upset as they know things are not right atm in the club.

It's a good idea but I fear that it will affect the team more than Hicks and we need every single point we can get between now and the end of the season if we are to see off Everton.

Dont waste your time, over the course of a year he´s not going to notice the difference and you´re gonna lose 2 stone.

supose we lose the next few games and dont make 4th  will Liverpool still be liverpool the club we love YES. if the yanks stay can we say the same for sure ?? dont think so , its all about priorities and ours must be to get rid of the yanks first regardless of what that takes

Hopefully all this will not be necessary if things get sorted out in the next few days and we can all go back to just showing our support as normal. But in the event that this is not the case can one of those here with the view that we should not consider withholding our gate money please explain it a little more to me cos i just don't understand this position.

As i see it you people seem to be saying that this is "not the Liverpool way", the team will suffer, we may not get fourth, we just need to cheer the team. These are completely irrelevant points which only look at the short term future of the club. What difference will finishing fourth make if the yanks are still at the helm raping our club, do you not think the potential damage they could cause far out ways any damage that may be caused by boycotting a few games?

Chill out mate, the club will be in the hands of DIC soon enough, there is no need for drastic fan action, it will only hurt the team.
As soon as DIC get 49% they have as good as bought the whole club becuase Hicks will not be able to match DIC's investments nor will Hicks be able to renew his loan, not when the world starts slipping into a recession.
This brings me back to the point that Hicks is an idiot if he doesn't sell now, he is being offered a very nice £80 million profit which is very good for one years "work" compared to potentially loosing a sh1tload of money.  If the recession really starts to bite then the club will not be valued as high as it is now but he may still be forced to sell his share!

Hicks terminates talks with DIC

The battle for control of Liverpool could be close to an end
Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks says he has terminated talks with Dubai International Capital (DIC) over acquiring a minority stake in the club.

More to follow.

DIC  surely with their clout may be able to affect hicks refinancing of his loans used to buy the club and new ground. sounds like the begining of the end for Hicks if he hangs on DIC have the upper hand.
