that arrogant pr*ck acts so high and mighty...he's asking for it... I hope the sheikh kills him in other businesses until he goes broke so that in the end he will have to sell his liverpool shares...

And then have one tycoon replace another? No thanks...

better to have a red fan tycoon than a total idiot tycoon IMO... just read through what his american fans are saying about this idiot... he killed the passion of fans of the american sports franchises he owned... he's now gushing about how passionate liverpool fans are... but one guy just warned him and indirectly us that the same thing can happen to us and it will be all because of that idiot... the one Igor posted...

Dubai International Capital is based in the United Arab Emirates and is an investment company owned by the emirates’ ruler - Rashid Al Maktoum - is yet another of the fast-growing "sovereign-wealth funds" that have emerged as increasingly powerful players in global financial circles - thanks to booming oil profits that enabled them to amass a war chest of foreign currency reserves.

The funds currently control assets worth about $1.9 trillion, and analysts predict those war chests could swell to $7.9 trillion by 2011 and $12 trillion by 2015, according to estimates from Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.

Maybe we will get Snooggy dogg next season after all :D

"The American investors behind Kop, who bought Liverpool last year, had been offered a deal that valued both of their 50 per cent stakes in the club at about £500m."

Does this mean they Hicks and DIC will split transfer funds for when we come to buy new players next season? The important thing is that work commences on the new stadium asap as well as some fresh blood in the team.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks launched a scathing attack on his potential future partners, the Dubai based consortium, DIC.

Although the deal is said to still be on course, Hicks has reacted furiously after alleging DIC's lead negotiator Amanda Staveley had leaked private letters, concering the takeover, to the press.

"If she thinks that is an appropriate way to acquire a stake in Liverpool FC, she had better think again," Hicks said in a statement to the Associated Press.

"Amanda Staveley, who has a reputation for being pretty smart, she should know better than to publicly put words in my mouth, particularly words that she knows or should know perfectly well aren't true.

"She should also know better than to release actual copies of my private correspondence to the press."

Hicks also insinuated that DIC are not the only investors who could come in to Anfield and take over the investment of his partner George Gillett Jnr, who is looking to sell his 50 per cent stake in the club.

Hicks can block Gillett from selling because of a pre-emption agreement that says one partner cannot sell his stake without the other's approval.

Despite the public anger expressed by Hicks - DIC are said to be still on course to take Gillet's substantial stake in Liverpool.

Hypocrite Hicks

With what's gone on I'll say what I've said earlier in this topic...I won't believe any of it until I see Tom and Jerry walk out. To many rumours and theories going round. Each new one loses a little more credibility than the one before. I remember people saying "take over only a matter of days" "take over be done by the end of the week" "take over almost certain" these were all around the turn of the year. 3 months on we're still waiting. So I'll only believe that these yanks are out of the club when I see them leaving for good.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Hicks will Happily Let Fans Sings The Rudest Songs

Liverpool fans have expressed their feelings towards current LFC owner Hicks & Gillett. Fans have spent the half-time breaks singing, raising flags and banners telling Hicks & Gillett to go away. Fans think the two caused uncomfortable situations, so fans want to give Hicks & Gillett reasons to quit.

Fans’ demands should’ve been so clear. The actions should’ve been some impacts so far on Hicks & Gillett. But do both owners feel uneasy, irritated, or humiliated by fans’ slogans?

Gillett seemed to catch the messages. Unfortunately, Hicks is in no mood with such romantics. Instead, he told people he will remain reigning. Slightly indicating the power is fully in his hands. Leaving image of powerless fans by saying he will proudly rule The LFC.

Yes, Hicks is genuinely a businessman. He is no cute boyfriend that will get on his knees begging sweet words from fans. He will happily let fans write and sing even the loudest rudest songs ever against him. As long as he can still get something from the club.

Every owner wants something of course. Some expect fames. But I common, money. In the case of Hicks, obviously he has common expectations : profit, benefit, money. Two main sources of clubs’ profit come from tickets and merchandises.

It means that fans actually have a very powerful bargaining position. If fans stop buying merchandises and tickets, Hicks will then think he will not get his wants. He will see a clear message that fans do not warmly welcome him at Anfield.

But such kind of action is not easy. Especially for season-ticket holders. They never imagine to throw away such big sum of money they have paid for season tickets.

So, the choices are fully in fans’ hands. Whether they just want to spend their money and allow the ongoing conditions continue, or they will pay those amount of money for better future.

Will we drive a hungry lion out by singing and throwing a piece of fresh meat to it? Then our bodies will look as fresh as the meat to the lion.

Fans have actually power to force Hicks out, not for the sake of DIC. But on behalf of their own interests. Also to warn DIC that they must not do what Hicks did.

This was a post on another site and sums me up in one.  :glare:
