Lets do a re-cap:

Manager fully backed - check. They interviewed Klinsmann.

New stadium - check. After promising a year ago the first spade would be going in the ground, no spade has been put into Stanley Park yet.

Most expensive ever signing - check. Yes payed for out of player sales and put onto the loan.

Most expensive defender - check. Payed for from the Sissoko sale with a few million spare.

Mascherano - check. Still hasnt signed when Hicks said on the radio two weeks ago he would sign before the window closed.

We are not going to do a Glazer type take over - check. One year on thats what we have a Glazer type take over all the debt has been put on the club.

Just a little recap for those that think the sun shines out of their @rses.

They are lying b@stards and need to be run out the club.

Update from CTR on RAWK:

Everyone is anxiously waiting news.. so am I.

Be patient.

DIC are still in talks.  Their big guns are now involved too. As are the smaller players. M & M.

A lot of hurdles to be cleared... but the progress has been very positive.  All parties feel that a deal is very, very close.

My source is in London this weekend to meet all involved, which includes high officials from DIC and the AmericanSSSS.

Don't be surprised if the AmericanSSSS are represented at the match on Sunday.

So, its all good so far, but just wait it out.

Just as a back up to what ciggs has posted. This fella on rawk Cowtownred ,seems a well respected poster with a reliable source ( he has a good history of being spot on with his past releases of information),which is also backed up by other posters and there sources. So imo .there are good reason's to be optimistic.

Looks like were stuck with the fat f*cker

Liverpool co owner Tom Hicks has dismissed rumours that he is about to sell his shares in the club and is set to take a more active role at Anfield.

Hicks has been coming under increasing pressure at the Premiership club but instead of packing his things and running he is doing the exact opposite and getting more involved with the clubs affairs.

Speaking at the Texas Rangers baseball club which he also owns in Arlington, Texas, Hicks said: "I'm anticipating a more active role in Liverpool. I really don't want to comment any more at this point."

To be honest, that was my first thought. Here's hoping. Go on Hicks sell, you know it makes sence :nod  :nod  :nod

Steve McManaman attack on fans totally out of order

Feb 9 2008 by Tony Barrett, Liverpool Echo

SO low has Steve McManaman’s stock fallen among Liverpool fans since walking out on the club on a Bosman free transfer almost nine years ago that there are those among them who find him only marginally more palatable than Gary Neville.

In the immediate aftermath of the Sunderland game, McManaman lived down to their expectations once again when he launched an ill-informed attack on those fans who stayed behind on the Kop to protest against the club's American owners.

Totally dismissing their cause, McManaman used his status as Setanta's resident “expert” to tell viewers: “We shouldn’t be talking about this protest, they’ve (Hicks and Gillett) come in and put money into the club. Why don’t the fans just let them get on with things?

“All the fans should just go home; they are making it worse.”

Get on with what, Steve? Get on with the shambles that saw Hicks admit that Jurgen Klinsmann was approached behind Rafa Benitez’s back?

Get on with their ongoing personal feud which saw Gillett refuse to put his name to a press release confirming refinancing was complete?

Get on with pushing £30m of interest a year onto the club?

As for the assertion that “they put money into the club,” even the world’s most creative spin doctors would struggle to make people believe that.

The facts are there Steve. Try checking them before you lambaste those who once paid your considerable salary.

McManaman is just a complete w@nker of the highest order. Money grabbing b@stard. I'll never forget his Real Madrid shirt wearing antics when he was still contracted to us. F*cking :censored:.

EXPERT.

Pronounced EX SPURT.

EX - Has been.

SPURT - Drip under pressure.
Bill Shankly: “I was the best manager in Britain because I was never devious or cheated anyone. I’d break my wife’s legs if I played against her, but I’d never cheat her.”
