Maybe once the two clowns are out of the picture, a few choice words will be saved for Moores but until then I think its better if we concentrate on removing the two cowboys first.

Supposedly Moores is the one leaking all the stuff to the press and pushing for DIC to come :D

Agreed on that saint .i was abit p!ssed at moores when all this kicked off ,but from sources in the know ,he's doing his absolute best to rectify the situation . Parry's still a bellend though. All moores is guilty off really is being taken for a sucker imo.

Apparently Rafa loves the Club too, but that hasn't meant he dodges any stick. I hope as Saint said he is trying to sort it out now, but what can he do? he has very little influence and even less power.

Sorry John, but his love for the Club doesn't allow him to get away with not checking every detail of the deal personally, or getting written assurances of the level of debt and transfer funds available. He sold because he couldn't fulfill these obligations himself, so should have made sure that the new owners COULD and WOULD. If DIC do not come in we are in trouble.

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I don't think Moores would of jepordised the club intentially. At the time, we were all chuffed with the American take over because they promised us as fans (Moores included) all the right things. That's why Moores sold to them IMO.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

I doubt it was intentional either, the yanks could fool us with their rhetoric, we had nothing else to go on. The board on the other hand were selling a national institution not a second hand Capri. With all that has happened since the takeover it has become evident that the correct checks were not carried out on those two, and assurances were taken on face value rather that being put on paper. Gross negligence i'd say.

it was very easy for fans to dig out the dirt on hicks... why did moores naively believe whatever they said? he has more responsibility than that...

I think that once DIC had walked from the negotiating table a lot of panicking went on in the boardroom, they now had only one interested buyer  (g&h) who put an offer on the table saying they would buy the club without debt (same cr@p they told us). Moores had probably had a few meetings with Gillett (having already turned him down) so probably knew him but little about Hicks who came in at the last minute, apart from he was a billionaire etc etc.

I am not saying he shouldn't have made sure everything was in the contract , but I think he was probably taken in (just like we were) by Gillett with possibly good intentions(? ) and Hicks with $ $igns before his eyes.

Moores appears to be doing everything possible to rectify the situation, which is about as much as you can expect really. I expect he is as upset as any other supporter at the events that have unfolded, but its to a large degree out of his hands now.

I still can't beleive Moores would of let us turn into the laughing stock we are right now. But then again when you're getting the money he was, how far does loyalty take you to keep being interested in what's going to happen? For me not all the money in the world could make me stop caring for this club, but my love is a lot stronger than most.

As promised last week, I can confirm that there will be TWO new offers made this week by DIC. One to take out Hicks alone (IMHO the less attractive option..we need one cook not two in the kitchen), and another to take out both TH&GG out.

I've been given reason to believe that there is real hope that the situation has now changed with the Americans. Still no word from GG or RP on anything that has gone on for the last few weeks, nothing on the official website other than TH's negotiating bluster of a letter, in his name, confirming the re-financing, no signing of the Mascherano deal (he will be only signed if DIC are going to eventually pay for him), no immediate sacking of Rafa (DIC have insisted that they want to make any managerial decisions).

The numbers are such that Hicks would walk away with a profit but not the outrageous amount he was looking for. He appears to be sick of it all, and ready to let go now despite all his bluster (which seems to all be about money).

And GG realising that if he wants to salvage CL qualification this season, and protect his investment, he needs to replace Hicks with DIC now (or sell out completely if he's tempted by the 20mil pounds immediate profit he will make like Hicks). And I get the sense that the supporter-based plan (unrealistic as I think it is) to takeover the club has also concentrated everyone's minds on the need to resolve things quickly so as not to lose PR value..

DIC have been stung by this is my sense, and no bad thing. So my big concern of us treading water until May in this horribly messy situation at the top is now receding. Fingers crossed, but there is definitely reason to hope.

Please let this be true  Is it just me or does the club not see the same anymore

We need to know why the DIC bid was rejected 12+ months ago for these loosers - not a penny to invest in the club and Doug Elliss' revelations about their interest in Villa  :no he may be an ol pensioner, but he didn't sell his club down the river - Moores and Parry owe us an explanation

doug ellis knew when gillett bidded for aston villa, he took randy lerners offer which was less than gillett had offered coz he sawwhat gillett was.

Moores being a walking disaster is the reason we have the players we do now, because he was never shy of sticking is hand in his own back pocket and finacially supporting the club, it's not his faults if the players being bought are absoloute clowns.

And I will and was speaking for meself, thanks.

so we are supposed to be thankful to moores coz he paid for players? And are you sure he actually did do this? We havent won a league since he bought the club. We have fallen behind Man Utd Chelsea and Arsenal in the financal stakes in the time he was in charge. He sold us down the swanny to two clowns and he should have seen it coming.
If one good thing comes of the Gillett and Hicks issue is that moores doesnt own the club any more because he has shown zero business acumen in his time at the helm.

Wasnt Moores going to dip into his own pocket last season to fork out the money for Owen before G&H took over? I agree though he made a mistake selling to these clowns.
