what the hell happened a year ago to change the heart and minds of two people charged with protecting the 'family silverware' - what happened ?

The battle between the fans and the owners does more harm to the club than it needs too. It seems some of these fanatical fans are trying to put the fight as Rafa vs H&G. And they are siding Rafa for the battle. What possible outcome are these fans expecting? The main point of a real fans problem has nothing to do with Rafa vs G&H. It should be Liverpool's best interest.
What will serve as the best interest for Liverpool? We know DIC will not come to our aid as we ditch them to sleep with the Americans. So we are stuck with H&G. We know H&G can't work with Rafa, so the only best option is for Rafa to go. Stabilize the boat before it sinks. All these fighting to back Rafa and eviction of H&G serves no other purpose than claim glory and self interest by these fanatical fans. It's always about how they feel, how they want the club to be run. Making claims like "it is the Liverpool way". Get down from your high horses and look around, the world has moved on. It is about Liverpool and NOT about you.
What is good for Liverpool is the best option to take. Take the emotions and throw it out of the windows. Get back on track and be respectable again. If you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem.
There are many clubs with huge debt. Some succeed some failed. We can help the club by buying more stuff from them. The club can help themselves by marketing themselves better. One such club comes into mind.....

Hicks stays in charge of our club then come in the not so distant future we might not have a team to support,Thinkpad wrote:H&G are the owners of the club. They can do what they want with it.
