Its still not on the offal Redman  :)

I am being told DIC are not out the picture just yet and negociations are still on going but G & H hold all the cards so it all depends on them now.

But DIC wont pay 1 billion and that is what Hicks thinks LFC is worth  :no

A billion? What a sh*t load of f*ck. Who the f*ck does he think he is? Dr Evil from Austin Powers or something? That b@stard is off his  rocker!

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I think G&H wants to make money ..... If Liverpool did not do well this season... we might fall like Leeds Utd.

If it's true that we've gotten the financing, then I'm worried as fark!

I hope to god that the scenario that afflicted Leeds does not become a reality for us. These 2 b@stards are making an all out attempt to screw us over it seems. I cannot remember a time in our illustrious history that we've been more of a laughing stock than we are now.

Affirmative action is deffo required here.

I just can't bear this anymore.

Apparantly Manure have done this well with the glazers and the owners of LFC need to be able to do the same. The long term issues are

(1) debt
(2) brand
(3) stadium

And if you dont care if they sack Rafa...who would you in your wisdom suggest to replace him....Let me guess??
Jose? O'Neill?.......dont make me laugh!

This is what I love about all those who want Rafa sacked. They always fail to give an opinion as to who it is would be better to replace him. It's either they don't have the football knowledge to do so, or they are just following the blind flock of sheep that ends up falling off a cliff. They do my head in.

Oh for f*&k's sake how many times do I need to repeat myself on this. I think pretty much any of the top managers in the premier league or other top leagues would be a better option for us. I think Rafa has lost the confidence of the players and owners, yes also DIC when they come in., and more and more I think he is loosing the confidence of the fans, it's just that everyone feels sorry for him at the moment. tell me how will your opinion be after DIC take over and we still draw at home??
He has had enough money and enough time and apart from a fantastic Chamipons league victory hasn't shown anything in the league.
The reason I don't give specific names is because I have no idea who is available, but yes I think Jose would be a much better manager although I don't like him very much, the thing is that at the moment I don't like Rafa very much either as a manager.

If you have "no idea who is available" (and, not to mention, willing) to take the job, how can you be so adamant that Rafa's replacement would do a better job? ???
Don't go comparing him to Ferguson or Wenger because they are not options!

Or do you really think that any old coach could come in and do better than Rafa? - I certainly don't. Especially when you consider they would almost certainly have to start rebuilding the team from scratch.

rebuilding the team from scratch that meens you think all rafas buy's are total sh!t ?

Thus you defend him i think you miss the point of your own argument.

I like rafa by the way just seems you got some twisted logic.

No.

All of Rafa's best signings would follow him out the door, hence why the new man would need to rebuild.

lando i dont agree with that sorry man torres joined liverpool cos he been a fan since he was young he stated this in one of his spanish interviews as for rest whos knows i like to think they love the vlub by now and would like to stay but you might be right about rest.

TBH tho if they are here just for the manager i say they aint worth a flying fu.ck if thats the case.  :no

I'm sure Torres will stay here if Rafa leaves but I don't know about the rest.  But I think the Americans will give Rafa at least another season if he does not choose to leave.

well i'm not a happy bunny. but at least it miught bring an end to all this speculation for a while.

None of us know quite how the money will be spent, but so far I've seen these two bits in the press:

'Liverpool's sum includes £105m cash for the club, £65m of which will be used to kick-start work on the new stadium in Stanley Park

A further £45m will be working capital, including cash for new players'

metro link

and bbc's rumour mill says:
Liverpool's American owners are ready to signal their commitment to the club by finally signing Javier Mascherano on a long-term contract for £17m. (Various)

---

so we may have up to £45m for players, and we may still get mash.... just trying to be optomistic after my hopes of being owned by DIC to a battering with this news
