I don't think you quite appreciate what a big number £12 trillion is mate. They do not have that much net worth, no one has, not even the entire USA ffs!!

1 billion goes throught the U.S. Treasury per 4 hours

so it isnt as big as you think and that is the case just think how much moneys gets moved around per day on computers.

in fact if i was to make a guess on how much money there is in the world in £ i would go for some thign like

Sextillion: 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

but its a pure guess

Not forgetting that there's 2 ways to look at this:

The long scale, and short scale.

In certain countries, they consider a "Billion" to be 1,000,000 x 1,000,000, which is obviously what we refer to as 1 trillion. (1,000,000,000,000.)

Ergo, 12 Trillion in a foreign land actually refers to 12,000,000,000,000,000,000, ( 12(1 trillion x 1 million)), which I believe is 12 quintillion.
