what's the weather like in the liverpool area today anyway? i'm literally underwater here. driving to the game later is going to be a frigging nightmare.

anyway, any news on whether skrtel will start? said on sky sports that rafa was considering giving him his debut. i'm still debating whether to put him in my fantasy rafa starting eleven or not.  :D

I think this will be a 1-1 draw.  I think Villa are playing us at good time and our home form isnt that great.

We must win this. One of my mates in an Everton fan and gave me stick for being above "a so called" big 4 club.

I think we should it - Villa are an okay club with a great manager but Liverpool is Liverpool.

I think 3-0. There are things going on behind the scene that will motivate the players (well I hope so anyway).

I hope so Kazza, but I think there is a greater chance of the team being pi$$ed off by all the cr@p thats going on.

I will be my normal glass half empty self and say we will struggle to break them down, unless we get an early goal and thn we will kill them...

So its either 0 - 0 or 3 - 0 for me
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

setting off in about 20 minutes and am feeling surprisingly positive. pompey came here on a decent run and we battered them. we can do the same to villa.

I think we should be strong enough to see villa off, the current events will probably spur on the team to a decent perfmormance to try and get the media talking about events on the pitch rather than off it. I'm predicting 2-0 or 3-0, as long as we start strongly

well said with that in mind here's my team

                          Reina

Finnan                 Carra              Hypia               Riise

Pennant              Masch             Gerrard           Kewell

                        Kuyt                Torres

I'd go for a 3-0 win with a long overdue riise thunderbolt and a goal from kuyt , last prob be from stevie or torres

reina, arbeloa, aurelio, carra, hyypia, kewell. gerrard, mascherano, benayoun, torres, kuyt Subs: Itandje, Alonso, Crouch, Babel, Skrtel.

I am a little surprised Kuyt and Kewell are playing . Kuyt cos he's just not playing well and Kewell cos he's supposedly off to Fulham?
