Some so called of Rafa claims

He told Sky Sports News: "The greater deal of support for those who know Rafael Benitez here in Spain, is actually with the owners of Liverpool Football Club.

"Many people think that Benitez has changed significantly since he went to Liverpool. They explain this is why so many of his friends and supporters have left the club.

"They find him difficult and demanding - in a positive way sometimes because he wants the best for Liverpool - but also they think that he has become a man they don't recognise wholly.

This is probably true. When someone improves in my country and reaches higher positions, envy is a national illnes.  :no

Is it only me, who thinks this sounds great?! I love that he is demanding on our clubs behalf - it just goes to show how much he wants to succeed with the mighty reds. So be it, if his so-called "friends" can't "recognice him wholly" anymore. They probably aren't his real friends anyway, if they don't acknowledge his will to make LFC the greatest. RA-FA, RA-FA-EL!

Lol Sabre - tell it like it is  :D

If he has changed then so what - you don't come to a club like Liverpool having let places like Valencia, who are not in the same league aka status etc, and don't become mor foused and demanding delivering succe is what drives him ..

That's why we all lurve him and wnat him to stay !

I've just seen a post match interview where Rafa massively down played the rift with the owners. He has said he loves being at Liverpool, has no personal problem with the owners and will sit down and talk with them next month.

Phil Thompson is supposedly saying Mark Hughes   is going to be our next manager. I don't know whether to laugh or cry

             --------------------

ripped from TLW

Just got a call from my mate in Johannesburg (the one who's involved with the Masters in Dubai).

He's there for the World Cup draw, and apparently Parry has confimred to Phil Thommo that the decision has been made to sack Benitez.

Thommo's words: You don't do a press conference and embarrass your owners.

He says Mourinho cannot manage an English club until 2009. If they cannot agree compensation with Chelsea, Mark Hughes, yes Mark :censored: Hughes is next in line.

Thommo has also said that Hicks has wanted Rafa out since his post-Athens outburst. Gillett is still a huge fan of Rafa, but Hicks "hates" him. This has created a huge power struggle between the two.

He has also confirmed that the Kaladze and Masherano deals have been vetoed by the yanks. After the Arsenal game, they did verbally agree to these deals, but something has indeed changed.

Thommo has apparently said that they really "don't have a clue about what Liverpool is about and how the club works".

The ex-Reds are not too bothered about the fact that RUafa is leaving, but much more concerned about the way Hicks will be running the club.

I am gutted.

I actually can't say too much more as I've just come off the phone having listened to some of our ex-legends speaking.

Will keep u guys posted as my mate will be out drinking with the guys, but they're all convinced it's 100% done.
                     ---------------------------
ps (Its supposedly been checked and confirmed that Thompson and Barnes were over there)

He's saying Hughes "will be" or "should be"?

I very much doubt any former player or Anfield insider knows what happens next, I bet even Hicks and Gillette haven't definitely decided: if they had Rafa would have been sacked already.

not sure mate, seems there has been a full scale investigation going on at TLW and it seems genuine (as genuine as you can get on the internet  :D  )

Not sure if I can link the thread but its called "Latest News from th inside" if anyone wants to look. Everyone starts off calling him a liar etc and by the end they seem to accept it as genuine, but hopefully wrong  :D

Fair comment, but I wasn't pretending to know!

I simply don't know mate I just put the two possible scenarios

a) If it comes from a "friend" and it's true, that would be very Spanish and with a lot of envy, as it's a dig just when Rafa is on a tight spot. That's not very friendish.

b) It's completely bóllocks, as houndred of times before the media have made up stories about Liverpool Football Club.

Either way, right or wrong, it doesn't help. And that's for sure. I think option b) is much more likely though, although I can't be sure.

How much do our fans care about our club? Enough for a march from a pub, enough for some supportive chanting for Rafa? How about enough for some anti yank owners chanting? Do we think this will cut it? It seems the yank owners think they really own us and our club. They can very easily ruin the entire history and legend of our club. Shall we just sit and watch and hope a march or some chanting will do the trick? Or an open letter or emails that they wont give a toss about? Is there something else that we can do - afterall it's tens of thousands versus two greedy fat :censored:.

How far and how direct would you be prepared to go to save our club???
