Xavi's strong point is the last pass. But I think he suffers much when he get individual markings.
Barcelona has asked for Alonso's situation last year (so did say Alonso's agent and friends I know)and the past one, so that would mean they think he can improve the team.
Gerrard and Ronaldinho cannot be compared. Of Course Ronaldinho's tricks have no match, but give me 23 goals a season for a midfielder, and forget about tricks and passing while looking somewhere else. Ronaldinho is the kind of player that if you do a good defesive work he can go missing from the game. Gerrard though is always contributing, tracking back, tackling... call me mad, but I'd preffer to have Gerrard than Ronaldinho in any team.
Anyway this game is not going to be about names, but winning the battle of the middle. If we make the pitch small with an advanced defence, and cut the conduits to Ronaldinho and Deco, we can put them in trouble.
The forwards are better the ones of Barcelona. Etoo is a better finisher than Kuyt is IMO. But definitely we cannot say Barcelona is better than Liverpool in every position, let alone the coach, Rijkaard is an apprentice compared to Rafa.
Well said Sabre , spot on. English isn't even your first langauge yet you got your point across far better than mine (except the Xabi is better than Xabi bit, got a bit lost there )
