I think the way you were stitched over De Stefano was a disgrace.

If any of you Liverpudlians don't know what I'm talking about, read a book about it!
If Real (Franco's toy) had not got him they would not have won the European Cup 5 times in
a row.
Basically, Barca were gonna sign him but Franco's corrupt government stole him.

ALSO, in a Cup final in Madrid. Franco's right hand mand told the Barca players (at half time) that if they won, they would be deported.
Barca lost 10-1 !!!!!

WHAT AN INJUSTICE.

SHAME ON REAL MADRID!

SHAME!

The book you're referring to is "Barca - A people's passion" by Jimmy Burns.

I'm glad to hear you've read it.

A strike force of De Stefano and Kubala would have destroyed any team in the world. But the Spanish authorities saw fit to say reial had the option to sign him alone with us. So they offered Barca the chance to have him every other season. But we declined, saying he was our player in the 1st place. So instead he signed for reial full time, and he helped them dominate for sometime.

My heart wants to say Rivaldo, but my head says Ronaldinho.

Yeah make fun of a man who oppressed a nation, and killed innocent people just because they wanted to be who they were. It's so funny isn't it?

Did I laugh?

You don't know the ins and outs of it - only Franco himself would have.

Get off your high horse you gimp.

No you didn't you moron. But you were trying to suggest that a man that could be likened to Hitler might have had a good motive for doing what he did.

You are a class A tw@t and a disgrace to Liverpool fans on this forum.

Lando, mate you know I usually agree with you as we have the same opinion on certain things but you're bang out of order here.

We wouldn't like Barca fans talking about Heysel or whatnot, same with Barca fans and Franco.

Franco was a tw@t.

"You don't know the ins and outs of it - only Franco himself would have."

That's a bullsh!t statement, the same could be said for Hitler then no?

Don't bring politics into this, keep it football related mate. It's Christmas Eve.

Ronaldinho, no question. Rivaldo was a charmless, cheating nurk - a good player but sadly lacking in sportsmanship. Ronaldinho is different, he plays with a smile on his face and as a gentleman - he is one of the greats of the modern game at the moment; if he stays at Barca he will become one of the greatest ever players to play at the Neu Camp.

Rivaldo was a footballing genius, and just one of many Brasilians to capture the hearts of Barca's Cules. Ronaldinho isn't immune to abit of cheating himself, probably the only thing that lets his game down.

My favourite Brasilian was Romario during the dream team years. Still admire him now playing at 40.

I guess it just depends what qualities you're looking for. As each one of the greats played in a slightly different way. One thing they had in common though was scoring goals.
Ronaldo scored a goal every 1.08 games (34 in 37)
Romario scored a goal every 1.35 games (34 in 46)
Rivaldo scored a goal every 1.82 games (86 in 157)
Ronaldinho has scored 80 goals, but i don't know how many games he's played. I know it is around the 150 mark though.

Romario has been one of the greatest strikers I've seen in the Liga. Ronaldinho cannot be compared to him because they occupy different positions and role. Ronaldinho makes the rol of LG, luxury player that breaks defences and plays between lines. LG does more defensive work pressing than Ronaldinho so in this sense Ronaldinho is more a luxury player.

Rivaldo was a superb player, but not as great as Ronaldinho. He had more strenght, he reached easily the area with his change of rythms, and he had a great long shot. The player I fancied most in Barcelona in that position was Michael Laudrup. Completely  different player, with a vision and the best last pass I've ever seen (Better than Xabi, Xavi and Fabregas).

Laudrup was a quality player to watch also. He linked up so well with the likes of Romario and Stoichkov.
