One of the few things I like of Marca is that they bring headlines of other newspapers of the world. In Spanish, they have translated several papers from Argentina, Madrid, Barcelona, and England.

While apparently The Times says that the "Chelsea's light is fading" , The *** says that "Messi is a liar dog". Mmmmmmm, that helps to peace, doesn't it?

Sabre

(1) No, I wasn't, but if that helps to your happyness, whatever you want

(2) Oh you changed the photo. See Judge, if I entered this little game you like to practice, you'd  see I'm pretty good. I wouldn't have many troubles to beat you even with my third language. But I'm sure that you'll be angry then, and I just want to see you happy.  :nod

Sabre wrote:Oh and I hope people stop talking about he's the next Maradona. Everytime somebody starts to say he's the next Zidane, the next Figo, the next Baresi, my blood boils  do they think they make him a favour him comparing to the best player of all times? Pah. Besides, it seems to me they have different styles and particularities, so Messi will be Messi. Leave Maradona alone.

Maradona himself is saying Messi is his successor and they are similar players.
:D

LONDON, Feb 24 (Reuters) - Diego Maradona is proclaiming Barcelona's Lionel Messi as his true successor.

"I have seen the player who will inherit my place in Argentine football and his name is Messi," Argentina's 1986 World Cup-winning captain was quoted a saying on Friday.

"Messi is the best player in the world, along with Ronaldinho. I see him as very similar to me," Maradona told the BBC referring also to Barcelona's Brazilian playmaker.

Maradona was speaking after 18-year-old Messi's brilliant display for Barcelona against Chelsea in their Champions League match at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

The teenager was far from overawed in a game between two of the best club sides in the world and played a big part in Barcelona's 2-1 victory.

The Spanish sports media on Thursday hailed Messi's coming of age in the round of 16 match, the opening leg of the rivals' first knockout round tie.

"He's a leader and is offering lessons in beautiful football. He has something different to any other player in the world," Maradona said.

Good morning.

Maradona everytime that he drinks a gin tonic and an Argentinian does a decent match against an english team finds a new son :D Honest! it's not the first time he says that, I should google a bit, but I'm pretty sure!

Maradona's feelings towards England are incredible, it's some sort of footy archenemy for him, Ah, what a game that with Peter Shilton and him :)
